I ran the Ecsta ASX on my Mark VIII...I was happy with them, but then again handling wasn't that car's forte in the first place. Quiet though, wore well, and didn't handle any worse than what was on the car previously, the considerably more expensive Michelin Energy MXV4. Currently I've got Ecsta STX rears on the Marauder and they seem to be wearing well. (Yes, that's technically a sport light truck tire, you try to find anything all-season in 255/55-18.)But I've been happy with the Kumhos in general.[Edited on February 26, 2009 at 11:59 PM. Does anybody know if Nexen tires are any good?
4/2/2009 4:50:33 PM
i havent heard bad about them, but i expect a loud ride, for the stiff ass side wall. its stiffer than the kumho
4/2/2009 5:02:28 PM
I was thinking about falken ziex ze 912 and someone suggested the nexen. I read good stuff about the falken but didn't know about the nexen.
4/2/2009 9:39:05 PM
Just avoid Dunlop

I have Nexen on my Audi, not bad tires at all.I had Falken's on my SE-R and absolutely LOVED them. Piss poor tire wear, I'm not sure I could even get a warranty because the tires were so soft, but they handled great with low noise.I also had Goodyear Eagle GT's & Fuzion ZRi's and they were both good as well, but the Fuzion's treadlife was horrible compared to the Eagle GT'sHere are the best IMHO:Goodyear Eagle GTBridgestone GridBridgestone Pole PositionYou can kinda tell which tires are worth something based on the treadlife warranty.[Edited on April 3, 2009 at 4:31 PM.
