My friend is looking to hire a wedding photographer. Another friend recommended this guy: http://www.andersonstudionc.net/gallery6.htmWhat is your opinion? Maybe it's just me but it seems like most of his photos are off-centered.
2/16/2009 6:53:28 PM
seems to be your run-of-the-mill crap
2/16/2009 6:55:01 PM
i used a hate this dude in high school. his last name was Andersonthus, I think this guy's shit is shitty
2/16/2009 6:56:21 PM
2/16/2009 6:58:05 PM
Eaaaaggggghhhhh]
2/16/2009 7:00:19 PM
i think "Wedding Photography," rather than "Fine Wedding Photography" would be a better description, personally.
2/16/2009 7:00:21 PM
Worse than crap. That's asscrap.I'm not sure what his rates are, but I'd imagine it's safe to say that "you get what you pay for" applies here.
2/16/2009 7:00:53 PM
Low, low, low.http://www.andersonstudionc.net/packages.htm
2/16/2009 7:02:19 PM
Tell your friend it's a better use of their money to buy a point and shoot and give it to someone, and say 'Surprise! You're our wedding photographer!'Holy shit...this shit sucks worse than some of TWW's "wedding photographers"
2/16/2009 7:02:30 PM
Cheapest package is 1550.oo
2/16/2009 7:03:00 PM
hahahaha good I'm glad it's not just me The sad part is our friend used this guy a few years ago. This is from her wedding:I swear I took better pics than that with my shitty point and shoot at the time.
2/16/2009 7:04:36 PM
That's very believable
2/16/2009 7:05:59 PM
That's seriously bad. Where is the wedding? Would she like suggestions or has she pretty much decided on this one?
2/16/2009 7:06:51 PM
Actually, her aunt who is a newspaper photographer is doing her wedding photos but she is looking for someone to shoot the bridal shower (or something, I don't remember what it was hah) since her aunt can't come into town until the day of the wedding. But yeah, she thinks this guy's stuff sucks so is open to any suggestions Oh, and it's in Raleigh[Edited on February 16, 2009 at 7:09 PM. 2/16/2009 7:09:35 PM
Shitjust post in the SLR thread. even kiwi would be a better choice. I think.
2/16/2009 7:12:02 PM
Those are terrible. That's a sweet shadow!
2/16/2009 7:13:48 PM
He could have at least photoshopped the shiny face too.
2/16/2009 7:14:45 PM
the only wedding photography i've ever really liked i can't remember who it was by, and he/she might not have even been good but they did a friend's sister's wedding and i really liked her pictures.they were black and white (and some in color) taken downtown in like the older areas in like run down parking lots and on the train tracks and in front of old warehouses. like really industrial settings. which i thought was cool. like wedding dress and tux + industrial setting.edit: i haven't really seen much wedding photography outside of my close friend's weddings. and that was all fine. i just wasn't like really "wowed" by any of it. there were some good pictures, but the industrial pictures i really liked[Edited on February 16, 2009 at 7:16 PM. Ok, so I kind of like that idea.
2/16/2009 7:54:14 PM
It is remarkable how bad these photos are.I mean, I can't help but respect the guy a little bit for being able to sell such a completely worthless product.Honestly, you'd get better results by putting a disposable on every table and telling the guests to go to town. Much better results.Hell, give a toddler a camera, set it to auto (or green square, like this guys seems to be a fan of) and it'd turn out better.
2/16/2009 8:49:00 PM
^^ The lying on the ground or the picture with Flash Gordan?
2/16/2009 8:54:03 PM
Must... resist... obvious joke...
2/16/2009 9:27:30 PM
2/16/2009 9:31:25 PM
she said we are putting a camera at every table. i think they will be better than those photos
2/16/2009 9:33:50 PM
i went to high school with her, i'm pretty sure
2/16/2009 9:39:29 PM
CLASSY
2/16/2009 9:42:16 PM
seriously, just go to any camera shop and say you are looking to buy 10-20 p&s and see if they can give you a bulk order for some kind of canon, fuji or whatever camera. Then place one on each table with memory and battery ready and let the minions run around. But you really don't need to do that since almost everyone now days have digicams...^wtf?!?!? is she just orange like that? This motherfucker needs to learn about some simple and basic color corrections... shit.[Edited on February 16, 2009 at 9:44 PM. Reason : ]

GREEN SQUARE + on camera flash = this.
2/16/2009 9:55:45 PM
honestly, i think the DSLR thread should just open a wedding photography business at this pointif this guy has a portfolio, we could run the motherfucking hood
2/16/2009 9:57:35 PM
seriously? really? really?anyone with a camera can just call them self a photographer?really?
2/16/2009 9:59:20 PM
Looks like dude was shooting iso 6400 in his "studio."Although it is probably just a backdrop in his garage with some work lights. This guy make iphotou look like a pro.
2/16/2009 10:00:16 PM
i'll take this opportunity to say that is a horrid backdrop.
2/16/2009 10:01:25 PM
2/16/2009 10:02:59 PM
He got it at a class portrait company's "too old and tacky to rightfully use any longer" bin.Damnit, you beat me by a few seconds. [Edited on February 16, 2009 at 10:06 PM. Reason : .]
2/16/2009 10:03:28 PM
I can't believe that guy has convinced 8 brides to let him shoot their weddings
2/16/2009 10:07:34 PM
Hey Rob, I have your card still. I promise I'll get that back to you asap.
2/16/2009 10:08:55 PM
^^you'll note at least 3 of them are military bridesyou can judge for yourself the level of decision making that shows (OH SNAP)and

2/16/2009 10:10:23 PM
2/16/2009 10:10:36 PM
I don't.
2/16/2009 10:11:36 PM
we should grab all of the DSLR peps and create our own tww action news site. I mean Rob and I already started to cover shit around town and have people hire us as the "paparazzi group" to make people and places look pimp. People would be like "wow, why is there 20 photographers at this joint?". this could be serious business...
2/16/2009 10:15:31 PM
I love how he focuses on the background and not the subject. I should try that next time. It's almost as artistic as tilting the camera.
2/16/2009 10:16:14 PM
yeah, she def went to my high schoolwild
