Hmm. He had his agent call the Jets. I'm not sure what I think about that but oh well. I'd imagine this time is for good. It's going to suck to not see him play anymore.

Favre is such a douche

^ good god. The bashing of a username is getting old. I usually don't let the internet get to me, but jeeze. Look, I have no creativity and had her friend create it for me. I'm kinda tired of getting flamed for a fucking user name. If you don't like the shit i post, that's fine, flame on. But if you just like to be a douchebag and make fun of me because i have a stupid user name, fuck you.

I could easily pick probably 25 QB's I'd rather have in their prime than farve in his prime. Easily.
2/11/2009 4:34:53 PM

Sucks for the Jets, Pennington has some decent years ahead of him and they blew it for a one-year shot with a dying legend.

^ OK you need to get your facts straight. It is next to impossible to rank QB's from different era's, however I believe as many people do that Brett Favre is one of the best of all time. He is definitely in the top 10 if not the top 5. The numbers don't tell the whole story, nor do super bowl victories, or MVP's . I believe you have to look at him and how he contributed to his team and the NFL as a whole. He is by no means a choke artist, and rather than cut and paste the long list of comeback drives he has done just take a look at the link below. http://groups.google.com/group/alt.sports.football.pro.gb-packers/browse_thread/thread/fc02f6b0f3d98ff2?pli=1

jesus christ a big interview on sportscenter, didn't we already go through this shit once already?
2/13/2009 2:41:13 PM
favre is maybe top 10 if you killed the 30 or so qbs ahead of him
2/13/2009 2:50:50 PM
10 QBs id rather have in their prime over favre(in no order)johnny unitusjohn elwayjoe montanatom bradypeyton manningsteve youngtroy aikmanbart starrben roethlesbergerjim kelly
2/13/2009 3:03:37 PM
10 qbs that i would seriously consider taking before favre(plz remember offensive numbers have gone up as the nfl has become more offense/pass offense oriented)joe namathjim plunketwarren moonsid luckmandan marinojoe theismansnake stablerdan fouttsphil simmsfrank tarkenton

The dude is an interception machine. I would never want to build a team around someone that gives up the ball so often.
2/13/2009 4:06:10 PM
Realistically the past several years have tarnished Favre's legacy in the eyes of many. In his prime he was certainly one of the greatest to ever play, which is pretty much undeniable.
2/13/2009 4:15:56 PM
i do not particuarly care for ben r. but, he has won two superbowls and made a hella throw on that drive. whether or not he has the regular season longevity of favre, he commands a winning team. johnny u does not have the numbers compared to a lot of today's guys, but i'd take him over anyone else. favre is an inconsistent nitwit with great stats.he's a lot like a rod. nobody argues he is a better player than jeter, but who would you rather have at bat in the playoffs?
2/13/2009 5:21:08 PM
2/13/2009 5:32:17 PM
i appreciate that a rod is one of the greatest offensive players of his generation. can't compare generations...but, what he done when it matters. as a yankees fan, hes been worthless thus far.farve had several great regular seasons, and several monumental losses in the playoffsdouche even lost to michael "golden god" vick in green bay

More fun Favre facts:3 MVPs1 losing season in 16 yearsMiddle name: LorenzoRoethlisberger has been in the league for five years. He's a serviceable QB that plays with the best defense in the league: a luxury that Favre never had. Comparing the two is straight up dumb. Let's talk in ten years when Roethlisberger is too banged up to take the field every single Sunday.
2/13/2009 6:03:39 PM
big ben already gets his ass pounded during the regular seasonin fact, the steelers are one of the few teams i can name the backup qb for because you always see their asses warming up.call me when big ben is as durable as brett and put up similar numberssuper bowl rings do not always equate to greatnesssigned,Dan Marino
2/13/2009 6:05:34 PM
Roethlisberger won't last as long as Favre. He'll be hobbling around by his early 30's the way he holds on to the ball. But he's quite a bit better than just a "serviceable QB". He makes big plays, without the kind of bonehead mistakes that have become Favre's hallmark over the last decade or so.
2/13/2009 6:07:12 PM
2/13/2009 6:08:55 PM
And before you jump to the 'fuck him, he threw a ton of interceptions' argument:QBs on maximus' list with a higher career interception percentage than Favre (3.3%)Starr 4.4Roethlisberger 3.6Kelly 3.7Unitas 4.8Namath 5.8Plunket (seriously?) 5.3Moon 3.4Luckman (are you fucking crazy?) 7.6Theisman 3.8Stabler 5.9Fouts 4.3Simms 3.4Tarkenton 4.1That second list was just a joke right?
2/13/2009 6:14:51 PM
For SOME reason, I believe Favre this time...I think he finally retires for good
2/13/2009 6:22:06 PM
the game is fundamentally changed. you can't compare stats but you can compare dominance
2/14/2009 12:21:51 AM
I forgot to mention his consecutive game started streak that I feel will never be broken.
