I've heard of a few things that may/may not go wrong with this car...just wanted to see if anyone on here knew anything more.

1) Oil consumption...from what I've read it seems to only be a problem on the Manuals...I'm looking at an automatic. Still an area to be worried about?

2) crank sensor goes off...don't even know what that means

3) tire wear/brake problems....it seems most of the tire wear problems were with the 19" tires...this car only has 18"

4) also have heard mention of possible problems with the AC

discuss...also, anything else I should be concerned with?

that sounds like a generic list of problems for all cars

The 19's were summer tires and very soft, completely different than the 18's. The brake "problems" I remember were on the earlier models that used Brembos.

^ yeah i had an '03.5 and went through 3 sets of brakes in <50k miles.

all replaced under warranty.

Oil consumption was only on 05+ model with 6spd.

Brake warpage and dusting was only a problem on 03-04 models with or without brembos.

05+ models dont have brembos and changed to a larger rotor and ceramic pad, no more dusting, no more warpage, slightly longer stopping distances.

Is the car you looking at a coupe or sedan?

Check the spark plugs to see if the coil or plug has oil on it. If you see oil, spark plug tube seals are gone.

List of common problems:
-spark plug tube seals
-clicking rear axles
-grease streaks on windows from regulator
-rattles and more rattles (can be fixed easily)

Other than that, engine is real solid and so is the transmission.

I have 05 sedan with 84k, no problems at all.

Go to dealership and give them the VIN number, they can tell you everytime the car has been to a nissan or infiniti dealer for service.
