2/2/2009 9:02:06 AM
so whats the title of this "chapter"
2/2/2009 10:02:10 AM
^"Fugitives"Technically I think it is still season 3, just labeled as Volume 4.
2/2/2009 10:18:09 AM
is it?They made it sound like it was a new seasonmy bad, we can go back to the other thread then
2/2/2009 11:03:29 AM
It's definitely still season 3. It's Volume 4.Volume 1 was Genesis, Volume 2 was Generations, Volume 3 was Villains. They're calling it Fugitives? Why not just call it stolen from X-Men.I'm really not planning on watching. They've disappointed me for the last time. Intervention will be on my tele instead.[Edited on February 2, 2009 at 12:55 PM. 2/2/2009 12:54:00 PM
I'll DVR Heroes: Copying everything from X-Men.The show is falling apart. Not as bad as LOST though, nothing is that bad.
2/2/2009 1:41:02 PM
god you people bitch and whine a lot.if you don't like it, don't watch it, and don't post about it. nobody cares beyond the fact that you're crapping the thread.
2/2/2009 2:21:04 PM
Sorry dude, it still sucks ass. Can't believe you're still into it.
2/2/2009 2:43:45 PM
It's still one of the better shows on TV to me. So I'll keep watching.
2/2/2009 3:21:20 PM
It's still one of the better shows on TV on Monday nights at 9PM to me. So I may keep watching.
2/2/2009 3:44:40 PM
I don't think it'll be all that great, but I've invested too much time to stop watching now
2/2/2009 4:10:54 PM
^^ 24 is the forerunner at that spot at the moment but I like watching heroes on tv more than 24 so I pick heroes live.^ exactly. I will watch until it stops playing probably
2/2/2009 4:26:23 PM
All about some Heroes tonight. III
2/2/2009 4:36:27 PM
bttt
2/2/2009 9:20:47 PM
i guess sylar is going to be the hero in this chapter
2/2/2009 9:49:53 PM
And they all survive the plane crashlame
2/2/2009 10:07:36 PM
^ they killed off some redshirts at least
2/2/2009 10:23:12 PM
haha, this show started off promising and has gotten significantly worse season after season. It's like NBC's Nip/Tuck.
2/2/2009 10:25:21 PM
so I didn't know that Peter got his power of absorbing other people's powers back. They never really made that clear. The season doesn't look too bad. I need to watch the last few episodes of Villains to help me remember though.
2/2/2009 10:26:33 PM
How did Peter get his dad's touching absorbing power?? All he had to do was just be close to someone and he absorbs their power[Edited on February 2, 2009 at 10:31 PM. Reason : ....]
2/2/2009 10:29:27 PM
I too am confused about Peter's power. Maybe since he was around his Dad, he absorbed that power from just being around him, then when his dad absorbed his powers, he didn't take that power from him since he already had it?Also, I thought Mohinder became entirely human (without powers) at the end of the last volume when he injected himself with the cure? And as always, Sylar delivered. It's nice to see someone use their powers to their full extent. And where were they flying that plane to? Genosha?[Edited on February 2, 2009 at 10:53 PM. Reason : ]
2/2/2009 10:52:41 PM
guantanamoohhhhh wait
2/2/2009 11:20:16 PM
probably just more plotholes.sick of claire always complaining about shit and whining & wanting to help out. all the bitch can do is heal herself, cant do shit with that.
2/3/2009 1:01:06 AM
peter gave himself the formula, as did mohinder. for peter, it gave him (i guess) arthur's ability (since the formula is from that light that arthur gave out), and for mohinder, just cured him off the cockroach shit, and left his abilities.
2/3/2009 1:31:36 AM
Why didn't Peter just let go and fly away? And yeah what the hell is with Peters powers now? The formula gave him his dads power? I assumed the formula gave him his old power back. In last seasons finale he got the formula then flew into nathan and lifted him out right? Or did he grab nathan then fly away. Sylar was bad ass, everything else was MEH. Although I hope Ando's power develops into something better.
2/3/2009 7:34:39 AM
^ That's what I was about to say. In the last episode, he got his old power back, and absorbed nathan's flying ability from across the room and saved himnow apparently he has to touch peopleand does he only get one power at a time now? it seems like he couldn't fly anymore for some reasonand I wish claire and nikki/tracy/jessica/whatever would both just die, I can't stand their charactersand why are they making parkman the new issac? for crying out lolud control someone's mind
2/3/2009 8:11:26 AM
because peter can only absorb one power at a time now - they made that pretty clear when he was fighting that guard when he accidentally touched the ice lady, lost his super strength, and began to get his ass handed to him before he iced a hole into the planeand chances are it's not like his dad's permasteal powers because mohinder grabbed his ass and kept him from falling out of the hole, which seems to imply mohinder is still strong
2/3/2009 8:12:15 AM
Yeah I guess he only has one power at a time now, which is convenient in that he was too powerful before. Well I'd say he was too powerful before but he never used his powers to their full extent anyway, so whatever. Maybe it is just his old power "manifesting" into something bigger, kind of like Parkman's has.So what about the rest of Mohinder's powers? He was also able to stick to walls, right? He probably could have escaped that rooftop a lot easier by just running down the side or something.
2/3/2009 9:32:47 AM
This was the first episode of this show that I've ever watched. It was good... I'm at least going to have to watch the next one and find out what happens. Though the whole thing was a bit hard to follow since I had to wait for a slow moment and ask my friends "so what's the deal on that guy's powers?" ...Also, I hope that Hiro somehow gets his powers back. I doubt it'll happen, but I hope it does.
2/3/2009 9:42:30 AM
peter = rogue
2/3/2009 9:46:28 AM
^^Good luck trying to get up to speed, I can't imagine trying to jump into this show now without seeing any previous episodes. Although if you have questions, we'll be able to help.
2/3/2009 9:49:35 AM
2/3/2009 10:48:30 AM
Eh, the only powers Sylar use is telekinesis, lightning, and lie detector, so I guess it doesn't matter. But yeah, if it is a one power at a time ability, and touch is required, they really should have thought about that before Peter saved Nathan
2/3/2009 11:01:06 AM
^^i meant still strong after peter touched him
2/3/2009 11:28:43 AM
okay two questions about peter. 1) why does he have to touch people to get thier power? he used to just have to be around them, which is why i thought it was stupid for the goverment to put him on a plane with other "heroes"2) why was the "cliffhanger" peter falling out of the plane? they already established he can fly?
2/3/2009 11:56:34 AM
dude have you not read any of this thread? it's theorized that peter can only have one power at a time now, so when he took mohinder's strength, he lost his flight ability. if you're looking for concrete answers after the first episode, then you'd better write tim kring because only he knows (and that's probably debatable, heh)
2/3/2009 12:22:42 PM
If Peter can only absorb 1 power at a time, I'm going to be pretty disappointed.
2/3/2009 1:03:48 PM
I hope, *hope*, that they aren't making Peter a 1 ability at a time kind of hero. That would just be poor at this point.Assuming that they aren't trying to ruin the season this early on, my suspicion is that this is a filming gimmick so that he looks "cooler" obtaining powers (lame, yes, I know). Also, even after Peter absorbs a power, it isn't necessarily always active. He has to want to use it (aka he typically has to think about the person to use it). Peter spent several months trying to be normal, presumably only with Nathan's ability to fly; so, he is probably not optimally using his powers (as in the begining of Season 1). Flying on a plane with drugs in your system while fighting a guy with a gun is a rather poor environment for trying to kick start yourself, eh? He also typically has to have a power for a short period of time before it is mastered.[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 1:07 PM. Reason : lawl, lerning to spell myself]
2/3/2009 1:06:43 PM
^ but these aren't new abilities to him, so I wouldn't think he'd have to "remaster" them again
2/3/2009 1:43:09 PM
ok, i've read the thread, saw what i saw and it looks like peter only has one ability at a time.he had flying for sure.but his remark to nathan asking "what powers did i have last time you saw me?"made it sound like he knows his power quite welland yet when he was in the plane and starting getting his ass kicked like he knew squat about his powers.maybe it was the drugs in the system that limited himor maybe the writers cant decide how strong he should be.if he had his same power back i'd think that he could do like sylar did and fight off the single attacker.
2/3/2009 1:46:39 PM
as someone said already, peter was a giant pussy with all those abilities anyway, so if he can master one power and use it effectively (like sylar with his telekinesis), then i'd be for that.
2/3/2009 2:13:02 PM
I DVRed it and watched it this evening. Did anybody else notice that during the scene with the Dream Walker and Parkman that the fucking completely missed the walking sticks location? One shot it would be on his neck, the next he was holding it in front, the next he had it back on his shoulders again. I noticed this for probably a dozen transitions. That drove me nuts.
2/3/2009 10:30:16 PM
yeah i noticed that too. i was thinking it had to be on purpose, for whatever reason
2/3/2009 10:41:58 PM
he also switched positions with parkman a few times. was a very trippy scene, definitely intentional.
2/3/2009 11:11:08 PM
^3 yep, on purpose
2/4/2009 8:04:10 AM
Yea I assumed that since it was a semi-dream sequence it had to be intentional. Didn't know how the fuck they could let some shit like that slide by accident.
