For most cases, the state has a hiring freeze. We are losing both our wan guys to retirement in the next couple of months, and will be losing 70 years of combined experience. It's critical we fill this position with someone highly qualified. If anyone knows of people, please pass on the link.

2 guys with 70 years combined experience = 2 guys with maybe 25 years combined relevant experience[Edited on January 29, 2009 at 11:17 AM. Reason : unless UNC is using 35 year old networking equipment, i don't know]

I was expressing the time with the state both individuals have. Not completely networking related, obviously, but at a university, institutional knowledge is just as important.
