1/28/2009 11:59:37 PM
NASCAR CARS WOO GIT ER DUN LETS SEE HOW FAST WE CAN DRIVE OUR CHEVY COLBALTS AND FORD TAURUS's COUNTERCLOCKWISE AROUND A CIRCLE TRACK
1/29/2009 8:57:27 AM
you really are the dumbest person i know... if you are going to attempt an insult, atleast get your facts straight. Ford uses a Fusion bodyChevy uses a Impala SS body-both with enough horsepower to blow the doors off your piece of shit.
1/29/2009 9:20:13 AM

1/29/2009 8:16:54 PM
awesome track. I'd pick infield over any other spot in the place though.
1/29/2009 8:32:12 PM
so any one gonna ask why fagboy, i mean #24 changed his car black? Prob the same reason why Lebron had to be #23, and kobe wanted to be #23 +1 huh?
2/6/2009 2:10:53 PM
i've been to darlington. I was quite young, so i can't really remember a whole lot about it. Pretty sure that Gordon won though, of course.I've also been to charlotte, north wilkesboro, rockingham and martinsville. Best race i saw? Tie b/t charlotte and wilkesboro. I was at wilkesboro when Terry Labonte raced the silver care for the "Iron Man" tribute

I know about nascar son. dale had a silver car, american flag etc.Look under my gallery and I have over 200 autographs from almost all the drivers. I wrote Nick on my arm to prove i didnt download them from google
2/7/2009 9:34:48 AM
i hope bill elliott puts it on pole. the only thing cooler than seeing him lead them to the green on sunday would be seeing him lead them to the checkered.
2/7/2009 3:04:02 PM
About time this thread got going. I'll of course be making my trips to Charlotte this year. I want to check out a few new tracks this season though. Passing Taledega (sp?) on the way to the bowl game has inspired me for that race. I'd also like to hit Atlanta this year. Hopefully Kenseth has a better year this year than his last couple. I also hope they force Jimmy Johnson to drive with square tires.
2/7/2009 6:57:26 PM
yeah i am excited about tonightfound out a friend of mine has tickets to both RIR racesso this year i will be at charlotte x2, bristol in the fall, and rir x2. cant beat bristol though^ i'm a hendrick guy but i would much rather see gordon win one more title before he calls it quits than to see johnson win it all year after year[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 7:02 PM. Reason : gordon fan since 1990 ]
2/7/2009 7:01:12 PM
Man Jeff Gordon wiggled through that traffic like he was driving a go kart. That was awesome.
2/7/2009 8:36:02 PM
these cars look like they are bouncing around a lot more than usual
2/7/2009 9:00:36 PM
more than usual? Daytona is just really bumpy and every year it gets worse and worse. They need to repave it and smooth things out.
2/7/2009 9:56:28 PM
they were talking for a bit about how a lot of drivers were experiencing a harmonic vibration that can be attributed to the track. wtf was pemberton thinking pulling vickers into pit road w/ 10 laps left to get 4 new tires when they just put on new ones 10 laps earlier? he looked like he was maneuvering through traffic much better, but if you have the lead, why give it up for fresh tires w/ only 10 laps? this was vickers race and the crew chief made a bad decision.good finish.....could have been better, but 8/10 overall for the race
2/7/2009 10:29:43 PM
^^ eh i know daytona is bumpy but i feel like the lack of testing caused some of these guys to guess on the setups a lot more. Seemed like it wasnt nearly as bad after that intermission
2/7/2009 10:34:12 PM
^^hindsight's 20/20, ain't it? leading is where you don't wanna be at the beginning of a short run to the finish at daytona. as we saw, the leader is just a sitting duck. w/ 10 laps to go, a few rows back w/ fresh tires is a much better place to be at a restrictor plate race. especially when they're doing double file restarts. he made the best decision. leading doesn't really mean much at daytona unless there's less than 3 or 4 laps to go. he didn't know it'd come down to a green white checker.
2/8/2009 12:37:50 AM
taking thursday off work to watch the duels. w00t
2/8/2009 8:52:35 AM
DVR, sonhell, that's usually how i watch a race on sunday. DVR it and watch it sunday night, FFing through all the BS.
2/8/2009 11:34:42 AM
So anyone planning on going the Charlotte this May? 50th running of the Coke Cola 600. Plus Speed Street. Should be pretty awesome, I'm already excited.
2/8/2009 1:29:52 PM

right watch a sonoma race or a walkins glen race. tony stewart and jeff gordon have the most road course win out of anybody. when the road racers(from other leagues come in they think they have an advantage. they usually get punted to the back real quick
2/8/2009 7:52:48 PM
Exactly. Guys like Boris Said are only in the sport for the road races and they never do anything. Robbie Gorden and Jamie McMurrey are both really impressive road course drivers. And of course Juan Pablo is good.

Nothing's more exciting than watching cars that don't handle go around neutered versions of Sears Point and Watkins Glen!
2/9/2009 3:44:04 PM
cars that dont handle?you have to understand these cars weight about 3400 lbs.not like an f1 car
2/9/2009 3:55:02 PM
^^I agree and I work in the Sport. I have been to both tracks. There are MUCH better road courses that we could go to besides Infineon and the Glen.
