cool
1/23/2009 9:38:10 AM
will they be serving green Natty on St. Patty's Day?
1/23/2009 9:39:23 AM
I wonder if it will be the same Sausage Fest that it is here in Greensboro
1/23/2009 9:40:11 AM
We all know I'm down for a sausage party!
1/23/2009 9:56:01 AM
Although the one in Greensboro is a great lunch spot. They have a hot ass bartender and their wait staff is pretty hot too.
1/23/2009 9:56:55 AM
probabbly.too bad natty greene's. they will probably make a shit ton of money though.good for them.
1/23/2009 9:57:41 AM
awesome...their microbrews aren't bad at all
1/23/2009 9:58:10 AM
This will be in the old Prime Only / Southend Brewery building which is beside 42nd St. Oyster Bar (as mentioned) and Mosaic.
1/23/2009 10:01:35 AM
Their 3rd floor VIP area is pretty dope too. You can rent it out for functions and they cater, have someone tend bar, pool table, darts, big screen, leather couches. Pretty nice
1/23/2009 10:01:54 AM
its going to fail just because its in that building.its cursed
1/23/2009 10:03:24 AM
hell yeah, i'm planning on throwing a birthday party there. solas has nothing on this place. well except for wannabe guido's in dragon shirts. that no one can compete with.[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 10:04 AM. Reason : that building is NOT cursed. i liked southend. burning down your own business = no curse.][Edited on January 23, 2009 at 10:10 AM. Reason : v]
1/23/2009 10:03:26 AM
How much are they charging you? We were going to do our Fantasy Football Draft up there this year but it was like $500 without catering. The dude that owns that place is young as shit too. he used to own Old Town, and I believe he still owns Pour House in Greensboro[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 10:05 AM. 1/23/2009 10:05:13 AM
not the most exciting spot
1/23/2009 10:07:05 AM
nice chill place though..good food, good beer.

1/23/2009 10:09:56 AM
JUANare you getting nattys up here or down there?i coudlnt imagine one in raleigh costing more, even if it were new and on a space shuttle
1/23/2009 10:10:20 AM
I know it is cheaper during the week, so if you can do it on like a Wednesday night that would be idealand you can just send my invitation via PM^ the Natty's in Raleigh won't be open until the Fall[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 10:11 AM. Reason : a]
1/23/2009 10:10:40 AM
in the RAL son. i can't be drivin to gso for some natty's, as much as i like it.i'm sure it'll cost more, just like everything else in RAL. i'm not sure why everything costs more here, but it does.hopefully, the same level of hotness will abound in the employment of female waitstaff.lets see if i can get some talent to show up. maybe a dj or two.[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 10:14 AM. Reason : my BD won't be for a while yet, so they'll have time to build. holla atcha boy.]
1/23/2009 10:12:06 AM
1/23/2009 10:18:55 AM
wonder if they can keep up the same level of cocaine intesity that prime only did in that space
1/23/2009 11:44:35 AM
lol
3/12/2010 3:54:24 PM
Anyone been now that they're open?Thinking about watching the game there tonight.
3/12/2010 3:55:31 PM
I will be checking this place out next weekend, if not this weekend
3/12/2010 3:58:21 PM
Went on Monday, place is cool on the inside, pretty big, although the bar wasnt HUGE; So I could see it getting busy.Beer was tasty and I think a pint was ~$4?#1 most important thing you need to know about this bar is they have a shuffleboard table
3/12/2010 3:59:14 PM
^oh fuck yeah. Is it fullsized? Or halfsize like the one at Oak City? And what about the waitstaff, hot or not?
3/12/2010 4:00:27 PM
apparently it's full sized. and that alone makes me want to go there
3/12/2010 4:03:40 PM
^Yeah I'm in...gonna hit it up for sure when Lindsay's in town next weekend.[Edited on March 12, 2010 at 4:08 PM. Reason : ^]
3/12/2010 4:04:10 PM
yeah, it's full-sizedI've only been once, but that fucker alone has made me want to go back
3/12/2010 4:06:06 PM
I love natty greene's I'm greensboro and liked this new one a lot! It was a bit empty when I was there but it was monday, their first day being opened. Don't know what to say about the waitstaff other than they were friendly and kind of young looking. Also I think they have 3 or so bars throughout the building.
3/12/2010 4:06:23 PM
Well that settles it, I'm definitely going tonight for the game. The TV viewing situation is good, right? This place has the potential to annihilate Boylan Brewpub. Other than the view, that place blows.
3/12/2010 4:16:02 PM
Oops - excuse my earlier typos, I'm on my phone and edit post isn't working! But yes, tvs are easy to view and they'll be playing the tourney fo shoTry their beers too! Yum
3/12/2010 4:21:40 PM
oh I'll definitely be trying their beers. That's one of the big reasons for going!I'm excited that the Raleigh beer scene has started to perk up.
3/12/2010 4:26:17 PM
I enjoy the GSO location (ok I've only been there twice but I did enjoy it) and their Beers. Also I always liked that building--this has the potential to be a good good thing.
3/12/2010 7:12:52 PM
ate there this evening while in greensboroit was pretty good but the beer was a little overpriced
3/13/2010 9:00:45 PM
I may very well be going there tonight. I have always been a rabid fan of their beers, though I hardly ever get to go to the Greensboro location. What kind of food we talking, typically bar fare?
3/15/2010 10:13:58 AM
They have some damn good beers and pretty good sammiches. Was a big fan of their Brown Ale.I went one of the first nights it was open last week. Will definitely go again.
3/15/2010 10:18:37 AM
Id say mostly typical bar fare, with some higher end optionsI only got a cheeseburger, it was like $8-10 but was super good. Seems like they also had some steak and seafood options for $15-20.
3/15/2010 10:20:41 AM
i was suprised their beer that they brew there is $4 a pint. should be cheaper since there is no cost to ship it, but still good none the less
3/15/2010 12:26:31 PM
The food was decent, with a lot of options. Portions and prices are good. My chicken sammich was tasty, but a little dry.Beers were extensive and somewhat expensive. I tried about 6 different beers and the Gunsmith was my favorite. I also liked the Kolsch I had. Buckshot Amber was decent also. Atmosphere was great. Good mix of people, good TV viewing without it being overwhelming distracting (i.e. Tobacco Road), good eclectic music mix. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall: A-, would do business there again. MUCH better than Boylan Brewpup or other similar type places.
3/15/2010 12:29:13 PM
i love this place but girls hate it
3/15/2010 1:07:41 PM
score
3/15/2010 1:11:50 PM
yeah, there did seem to be a high ratio of dudes to broads in there. I was there with the GF, so I wasn't too worried about it.
3/15/2010 1:36:37 PM
^^not true! I loved it. But I love beer too
3/15/2010 1:37:48 PM
I was only there briefly on Saturday night, but I thought the ratio was pretty good. In fact, I was meeting up with a group of girls out there celebrating someone's birthday...the girl had chosen NG as the place to go. And a lot of other girl friends of mine seemed to love the one in Greensboro...perhaps a myth?
3/15/2010 2:16:02 PM
I went here for the first time last night. The beers I had weren't super but I liked the atmosphere and whatnot. What beers do you guys recommend from them? I had the one that was on special (Diambondback?) and the Brown Ale... wasn't too impressed.[Edited on October 23, 2010 at 5:26 PM. Reason : and this is from a long time but I'd say it was easily 1:1 ratio.]
10/23/2010 5:26:04 PM
$2 pints on Thursday are dangerous. They have an 8% beer that is delicious.
10/23/2010 6:03:03 PM
^^ Wildflower and whatever their dunkelweizen is called are great
