Who do you think would win between western vs. eastern conference?its a pretty good matchuphttp://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&page=PERDiem-090122i say the west in a close one
1/22/2009 10:23:10 PM
i'll take the east to make it 2 in a row...though, i can't discount the cp3 factor
1/22/2009 11:46:15 PM
lol, most irrelevant thing in all of sports??
1/22/2009 11:48:18 PM
1/22/2009 11:52:50 PM
^^nope, that would be the pro bowl
1/23/2009 12:01:26 AM
lol wut
1/23/2009 12:02:58 AM
Timmy AND Amare both starting on the West? They play the same freaking position.
1/23/2009 12:22:56 AM
there is no telling who will win this game based on talentits who makes more senseless shots while having fun out there... i say west though cause i feel some players on that roster will take this more seriously than the east
1/23/2009 12:25:46 AM
Iverson starting over Joe Johnson and Devin Harris is a joke.V Oh cool Harris is in now?[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 12:46 AM. Reason : Iverson is not AS material anymore]
1/23/2009 12:42:09 AM
ok, im not saying the real game, im just saying in theory.heres the match up.west: CP3, Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, YaoEast: Devin Harris, Wade, Lebron, Garnett, D. Howard
1/23/2009 12:44:45 AM
Nowitzki at Small Forward?Dirk would get burned by every good SF in the league. On the other hand, he could just shoot over most of them.
1/23/2009 2:41:11 AM
That is just an analysts selections. Nowitzki is not starting at SF. These are the actual selections:http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/01/22/starters.garcia.0122/index.htmlWest:CP3, Kobe, Amar'e, Duncan, YaoEast:AI, Wade, Lebron, Garnett, HowardAlthough, the West still starts 2 PF/C players and a center. The front court of the East is still far faster than that of the West.[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 7:31 AM. Reason : .]
1/23/2009 7:28:31 AM
I want KG to take Amare, just to see LeBron on Duncan. I think that'd be epic. Timmy 5000 would methodically work the hell out of LBJ.
1/24/2009 5:05:43 AM
I'll take the team that has KOBE any day
1/27/2009 9:00:52 AM
I predict that this will mark the beginning of the Lebron trifecta this season:Allstar MVPLeague MVPFinals MVP
1/27/2009 9:08:51 AM
he may get League MVP, but there's no way in hell his team will win the Championship, much less make it to the finals again. With the Celtics being bad ass, and the emergence of the Magic, I don't see the Lebrons getting back there any time soon.Until he goes to NY/NJ, that is.
1/27/2009 9:16:43 AM
haha, youre out of your damn mindthe Cavs are the best team in the East right now, and once Big Z and Delonte come back they'll be even better
1/27/2009 9:33:07 AM
Cavs have a really good shot to make the Finals this year. The Eastern Conference playoffs will finally be as entertaining as the Western Conference playoffs this year (at least the semis and finals). You've got the big three of the Celtics, Cavs, and Magic. Then you know Wade is going to go nuts and give his team a shot in the semis (I honestly think he's playing just as good as Lebron this year)...and teams like the Hawks and the 76ers could also cause a stir.Unfortunately, if the Lakers are healthy and playing as a team, I think they take it against any of those teams in 6 games.
1/27/2009 10:05:45 AM
This year will mark the 1st of 3 Kobe vs Lebron NBA FinalsIts about to be magic vs bird all over againI say Kobes Lakers win the next 2 years and then Lebron finally gets a ring in the 3rd installment of Cavs/Lakers
1/27/2009 11:19:55 AM
lebron > kobefact
1/27/2009 11:22:54 AM
yeah thats why I want Lebron taking the shot at the end of a game instead of Kobe
1/27/2009 11:35:03 AM
"lebron > kobe" = "lebron is stronger than kobe" ?
1/27/2009 12:10:22 PM
I agree with that and can jump higher
1/27/2009 12:18:45 PM
KOBE, SHAQ and PHIL together again!!!!WEST WILL ROLL!!
1/30/2009 8:18:30 AM
oh great, as bill simmons put it best. NBA All-Star weekend is the "black people superbowl"
1/30/2009 9:37:49 AM
1/30/2009 9:39:52 AM
If Cleveland finishes with the best record, they won't have to win on the roadand they haven't lost at home yet
1/30/2009 9:45:55 AM
One regular season game means a lot
1/30/2009 10:44:47 AM

1/30/2009 11:12:25 AM

When there are 3 teams in the NBA as of January 30 with less than 10 losses, and one of them is Cleveland, a team who has made the NBA Finals in the last 2 years...it seems pretty retarded to count them out
1/30/2009 2:30:46 PM
my bad[Edited on January 30, 2009 at 2:54 PM. Reason : v Don't be a douche]
1/30/2009 2:48:37 PM
They made the NBA finals in the past 2 yearsHe didn't say they made it both yearsIf I say I took a dump in the past 20 minutesIt doesn't mean I took a dump during every 1 of those 20 minutesIt means that within the past 20 minutes, I took at least 1 dumpWithin the past 2 years, the Cavs have made at least 1 NBA Finals
1/30/2009 2:52:31 PM
haha i wish i had seen what dammit posted before the editeither way, cleveland is one of the legit contenders this year
1/30/2009 4:04:42 PM
when i read what treetwister wrote, i too thought he meant both yearsi think could've worded it a lot better
