I, and I'd guess some of you, have ridden a unicycle. (no bozo) If you haven't, and you have decent balance, you should try it! (How hard could it be?...people juggle while riding them!) In this thread, everyone should share their experiences with and knowledge of unicycles, monocycles & other "balance" vehicles. Are any of you engineering students working on this? (You should be.)So..Everyone is familiar with regular unicycles:But have you ever seen a monocycle?monocycle..or a minimalist unicycle?minimalist unicycleLook carefully at this crab unicycle. Do you see why they call it that?crab unicycleThere are some pretty cool powered ones. (I think most are electric.)And some not-so-cool powered ones:unique cycle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC9cdIUiOqU)Then there are some crazy ones, like this powered monocycle:Of course, now-a-days there has to be self-balancing powered unicycles:Although personally, I'd like to try the leviskate:leviskate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2VZQLJZVZY)[Edited on January 13, 2009 at 10:51 AM. Once upon a time I rode a unicycle. I'm just sitting here trying to imagine how boss you'd have to be to ride a minimalist unicycle (and how absolutely retarded you'd look riding a monocycle).

One time last fall I was biking up Dan Allen towards Western and a unicyclist passed me up the hill. That dude was bookin'.

i did a mountain bike race a couple years ago and there was a couple guys that did the whole 12 hours solo on a unicycle. i see them every now and then at the local trail, watching them is like watching a circus act!

hahaha, didn't know they made electric/motorized unicycles. The manual monocycle looks kind of dorky, but the motorized ones look badass.
