This Vivitar brand 2X Teleconverter fits between the body and the lens of Nikons. This teleconverter actually has a focus ring on it. Useful for manual focus situations such as macro work. Does not support auto focus, but lenses will work in manual focus mode. You are welcome to try it out before purchasing to make sure it's compatible with your camera/lens.

It's in very good condition, and I've used it very little since I purchased it. I used to have one of these on my old Olympus OM-1 that I used all the time and loved it.

Good question, and one I didn't know the answer to previously.

From what I've been able to gather online, it's a loss of 2 stops.

Additional info: Doesn't appear to work with Nikon's digital cameras, but will work with film cameras. Anyone out there who still shoots with a film Nikon: This is a good accessory.
