I'm in CHASS, so text books, come buy back time, aren't needed in the vast numbers of other colleges. Since I'm tired of getting fucked on the buy backs, I'm considering renting books, as it may come out cheaper. Any experiences with this? What about other cheap book acquisition methods? I did a quick search and didn't see anything.

bookbyte.com is pretty good. (I work there as a statistician). If someone is buying it, we are buying it too.

Just register early for your classes, and be the first to check the books out from the Library.

Most of the textbooks for my history classes are on two hour reserve in DH Hill, so I don't have to break the bank this semester.
