this processor is a Socket 370 Celeron at that. and I've checked several links, it says it takes SDRAM.

im sorry man youre right. good lookin out. i never claimed to be genius bout these

its cool, I just have several parted out Emachines that I could use parts for. I was going to upgrade the processor, but I thought it took a Socket 478.

ou are more than welcome to come over and look this unit out. i dont need it so whatever money i get is good. i see its going for about 150 or so on ebay. but i dont even want half that

i'm too spoiled, (and cheap) hopefully you'll be lucky enough to get $50 for it.
12/28/2008 7:16:16 PM
im at a median with it, dont need the money, i know what i CAN get for it, and im tired of looking at it. so $50 for my lazy ass is $50.

^word. thats the going price these days. I mean you can buy brand new 512MB sticks of DDR for like $15. Used they are $10. The Celeron processor is not even a Socket 478. The 40GB hard drives are about $10 a piece. In good condition and loaded with all correct software and OS, this unit would be $50----on CRAIGSLIST at that. But seeing its SDRAM as apposed to DDR, its a older pin/socket processor (370), theres only 256 instead of 512MB of memory, and the optical drive is missing---well that doesn't leave much. I'm not trolling/flaming you, just trying to be informative about the computer market these days. For example, I'm getting a Socket 754 AMD motherboard, 1GB DDR RAM, AMD Sempron 3100+ all for = $25. Adding a brand new case, optical drive, and hard drive wouldn't be more than $50. If you can get more, you're a hell of a hustler and I need to jack my prices and sell to the target audience you've stumbled upon.

theres tons of people tossing their PCs with the stickers still left on there. you could probably scrounge one up on CL or T-dub in a day's time. I'm sure its "valued" at $50, but what does it matter when you can get it for next to nothing? I got a bag of 200+ sticks of memory for $150, although I'm sure its "valued" at a much higher price.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SDRAM"synchronous dynamic random access memory"To clarify I meant SDR SDRAM. But I thought most people would know what I was commonly talking about (PC100-133). Excuse my lack of attention to specific detail.

oh and...http://www.shopping.com/xPF-E-Machines-T1150http://www.memorystock.com/memory/eMachineseMachinesT1150.htmlIt can only handle PC133 SDR SDRAM at the max. It cannot handle any form of "DDR". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR_SDRAM)
