They were definitely both the best I have ever played. And I appreciate the emulator and ROM links. I wont be doing shit the rest of the day.

There are two things you gotta do before you can play a match in WCW/NWO Revenge1) Rename Konnan to Panty Hose Face2) Rename Eric Bischoff to Eric BitchoffOkay now you can play it
12/20/2008 4:22:43 PM
Kanyon > Konnan
12/20/2008 5:13:01 PM

wow... i'd never seen that RIDICULOUS overselling from HBK. It's like he was Owen Hart and Hogan was a bag of popcorn.

12/21/2008 1:08:34 AM

12/21/2008 4:10:20 AM
Has anybody tried this game? I almost picked it up at gamestop for like 10 bucks, it is filled with some old school wrestlers like the Roddy Piper, Road Warriors, Hart brothers etc.
12/21/2008 8:45:58 AM
You wanna know why I don't read any online dirt sheets any more, aside from a glance at Meltzer?Because I've realized that nearly everyone who writes/posts for them is a complete and utter moron.I went looking for reviews of that Hogan/Michaels match for some tasty zingers, and all I could find was stuff like, "Hogan is old and broken down, but Michaels sold like a champ and made him look good."Anyone who can't see what's going on after that crotch "spot" and a fucking backflip on the leg drop...I have no words. Is it wrong that I want a Santino t-shirt? ]
12/21/2008 8:50:36 AM
i too played the buttons off my controller with this game. The whole intro/fireworks was incredibly sick at the time

12/21/2008 4:50:19 PM

The original plan was that Hogan would go over clean at SS and then at the next PPV Michaels would go over in a cage match. However, Hogan's contract had full creative control, and he refused to put Michaels over clean in a cage, so they scrapped the second match and Michaels made Hogan look like an idiot with the overselling. There's a promo he cut as well that's basically HBK saying, "NO ONE COULD EVER BEAT HULK HOGAN, HE'S THE ULTIMATE EVERYTHING" etc.
12/21/2008 9:04:53 PM
haha that overselling was moneyhbk 4 life
12/21/2008 9:35:19 PM

12/21/2008 10:27:46 PM

12/21/2008 10:44:02 PM
must be a double edged sword or something cause wrestling wouldnt have made it out of the 80's without ppl like hogan imo
12/21/2008 10:47:18 PM
12/21/2008 10:58:01 PM
HULK HOGAN aka HOLYWOOD HOGAN IS WRESTLINGand always will be...
12/22/2008 12:41:15 AM
Hogan/Flair/etc made wrestling what it is todayThe fact that they refuse to leave the sport is what made it ridiculousI believe the wrestling era that we grew up in was by far the best, kids these days have no idea what it is to actually root for the good guy instead of the dumbass morons that just curse a ton and have assistants with their DDD boobs hanging outI'm not complaining, but I'm just saying that's not what wrestling was about when we were kids. And seriously, have any of you watched it any time recently? It's usually one match, then about 30 minutes of mic time, then another pointless match, followed by another 30 minutes of banter. Worthless.
12/22/2008 9:37:32 AM
That's why I liked the WCW so much more.It seemed more focused on quality wrestling with the plots being secondary.[Edited on December 22, 2008 at 9:59 AM. Reason : Also, was there ever a worse role model for kids than Stone Cold Steve Austin?]
12/22/2008 9:58:28 AM

WWF had the best wrestling styleWCW was too theatrical, it was alot easier to suspend disbelief with WWF matches and angles than it was wth WCWi liked my prowrestling a little more realistic and less flyin aroundthe most well-performed match that ive ever seen in prowrestling was the1 hour iron man match between bret and shawnit actually looked very convincing and they kept it up that entire hour and 10 minutes or so with a convincing ass sweetchin musici liked that they used a lot of wear down holds and had both wrestlers change up their typical "Styles" in the attempt to strategize for an hour fight[Edited on December 22, 2008 at 12:47 PM. Reason : d]

It's always bothered me that the superkick has evolved into HBK's unstoppable finisher, because he and Jannetty used to do twin superkicks as a part of their regular arsenal of moves. ]
