i wish this was for HP pavilions circa 2003

The sucky part is about this is that I can't go up to 14 days without my laptop, so I may just have a forever broken laptop But the up side is that I have until 5/09 to file for this repair so maybe I can whip something up by then that can hold me for 14 days.

If the 4th through 6th numbers of your s/n is 716 or less then you are eligible for the free repair. Anyway, whats a good way to ghost my hard drive so I can format it before I send it off? I have way to much personal stuff on my computer to just let anyone see it, like saved passwords, work related items, personal photos, and all that jazz.

I just formatted and reinstalled. Was 'ghost' the hard drive the wrong term for the purpose that I stated? Seriously, I am reasonably computer savvy, but this is something that I have never really been baptized with.

^ Then you would use "image" and not "ghost"
