He is slowly creeping back into the picture and the way his team is killing everyone. He deserves to be back in the mix for Heisman."To be the man, you gotta beat the man"If he does well and his team kills florida state and alabama, I think he has to be the heisman winner over all the big 12 boys
11/20/2008 10:25:52 AM
no.
11/20/2008 10:27:39 AM
no.his numbers are nowhere near good enough to beat out the big 12 QBs. As long as one of them winds up in the title game, it should be safe to say that tebow won't get it again.
11/20/2008 10:32:01 AM
Harrel, Bradford, or McCoy...Harrell easy if he wins out. Shit, I'd put Crabtree over Tebow. Not a knock on Tebow, but it's a strong Heisman race this year.
11/20/2008 10:38:47 AM
you guys are wrrrrrrrrroooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg
11/20/2008 11:32:46 AM
watch what will happen when Tebow scores like 4 tds this week against the citadel, score 3 or 4 against Florida State, and dominate the #1 team in the country in the SEC championship game.
11/20/2008 11:34:26 AM
TIM TEBOW : COLLEGE FOOTBALL :: TYLER HANSBROUGH : COLLEGE BASKETBALL
11/20/2008 11:35:36 AM
See, the flaw in your logic is the fact that Tebow won't dominate (if domination even occurs), but the entire Florida team will dominate. It's not just the Tebow show this year, which is why he will not win the heisman.Look at it this way: if there is ever again going to be a two time heisman winner, they are going to have to blow everyone out of the water. Tebow is far from that this year.someone post the Tebow heisman with baby pic. Fuck that guy.
11/20/2008 11:37:55 AM
Yeah i guess thats why no one is talking about him http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/8818010/Tebow-has-played-his-way-back-into-Heisman-mix
11/20/2008 11:53:28 AM
Florida has a great running game this year - his passing numbers could be wayyyyy higher. He's def. in the mix but a longshot.
11/20/2008 11:56:51 AM
Crabtree and Harrell will fall out of the race this week with a loss in NormanAs Oklahoma jumps Texas in the BCS Standings people will start to forget about Colt Mccoy. So it comes down to Bradford vs TebowBradford still at to go to stillwater and possibly the Big 12 title gameTebow will get to showcase for the voters against Florida State and then again in what will be the BIGGEST game of the year:The SEC title game against #1 AlabamaTebow will win the heisman again this year
11/20/2008 12:04:25 PM
Nobody really cares about their game against FSU.And his numbers just pale in comparison to the other QBs. And I think everyone see that his passing yards and TDs are inflated because he dumps little passes off to RBs and WRs who run 3.3 40s and his rushing TDs come form Florida using him like a tailback. He's impressive...but just not enough this year.
11/20/2008 12:23:14 PM
CRABTREE
11/20/2008 12:28:32 PM
FSU is on par with Ole Miss and Nebreska in most computer polls. Why should that be a showcase game?
11/20/2008 12:29:03 PM
Because it's the last game in regulation and a rivalry game. It's like NC State vs. UNC or UNC vs. Duke.
11/20/2008 12:36:19 PM
Tebow is the Tyler Hansborough of college football.
11/20/2008 12:52:22 PM
Florida is winning because of their defense and special teams not so much of just Tebow. He might not even be invited this year.
11/20/2008 12:53:04 PM
^^I just said that
11/20/2008 12:55:35 PM
Whichever Big 12 QB ends up in the championship game will win it. Even if Tebow plays great the rest of the way, I think most voters have focused on the Big 12 QBs and will go with one of them. To be honest though, Crabtree's numbers are friggin insane, and they might end up splitting votes. But those 3 QBs have numbers that are just over the top, and the thought of all 3 falling apart to allow Tebow to slip in just isn't going to happen. Plus Tebow set his own bar so high last year, most people will have trouble voting for him again without numbers as good if not better.
11/20/2008 1:00:28 PM
11/20/2008 1:06:45 PM
Crabtree and Harrell will split votesWhen you say Big 12 QBs, you dont really have a clear cut face . They will all take votes away from each otherWhen you look outside the Big 12, the most impressive thing you will see is Florida killing their last 6 SEC opponents by 4 touchdowns or more. The face of that impressive team = Tim TebowTim Tebow vs the Big 12 QBs
11/20/2008 2:29:25 PM
Harrell and McCoy both have clear cut faces and so does Crabtree. I think everyone saw that shoot-out and game winning TD by Crabtree.Tebow's only chance is to play lights out and hope these other 3 play terrible. He's still technically in the running, but I don't see him winning it.
11/20/2008 2:31:14 PM
Tebow is gonna do jack in the NFL... what would he even play? Tight End?
11/20/2008 2:31:44 PM
I think he is a better passer than people give him credit. I expect him to surprise a lot of people on the next level
11/20/2008 3:23:30 PM
yeah, he annoys the living fuck out of me but I think he might actually have a career as a QB in the NFL
11/20/2008 3:32:38 PM
Tebow is clearly behind Harrell, McCoy and Bradford in the race right now. It's possible that 1 or even 2 of them falters, but not all 3. And they won't take votes away from each other; they play in the same conference not the same school. In summary, Tebow doesn't have much of a chance of repeating.

Reasons against the Big 12 CandidatesCrabtree- Name the last WR to win the heisman without returning kicksBradford- Got Beat by Mccoy head to headMccoy- Got Beat by Harrell head to headHarrell- Going to get Beat by Bradford head to headYes these 3 Qbs will split votes
11/21/2008 11:10:14 AM
Harrell and Crabtree are out
11/24/2008 9:19:46 AM
Bradford in the lead.
11/24/2008 9:22:24 AM
Tebow may not win the heisman but he is by far the best player in college football
12/1/2008 10:53:56 AM
you would think soI personally dont think hes anything overly special. Hes not a great quarterback and hes not a great running back[Edited on December 1, 2008 at 10:57 AM. Reason : asdf]
12/1/2008 10:56:27 AM
^^ i dont think so personallytheres a ton of talented guys out there this year in smaller schools that get less coverage.but i dont think he is the best.
12/1/2008 10:57:55 AM
he really is.
12/1/2008 10:58:04 AM
he's the hansbrough of football. a great college player who won't do diddly poo in the pros.
12/1/2008 11:03:18 AM
you just said you didn't think he was great. Also, the Heisman isn't supposed to be based upon pro potential AFAIK, or else neither Troy Smith nor Jason White would have ever been in the running.[Edited on December 1, 2008 at 11:07 AM. Reason : not that I think he will or necessarily should win it this year]
12/1/2008 11:07:23 AM
Tebow - makes every throw he needs to make. 5th highest rated passer in the Nation- is a dangerous threat when he runs the football. 2nd in SEC with 12 rushing touchdowns (Moreno 16)how can you say he is not a great qb or a great rb??his team is going to win the national championship and it will be because of Tebow.
12/1/2008 12:43:08 PM
if FL wins the NC he has a slim shot ... if they dont he is eliminated completely
12/1/2008 12:47:32 PM
12/1/2008 2:08:20 PM
^^ The heisman will have already been awarded before the NCdurrrr
12/1/2008 2:12:05 PM
12/1/2008 3:38:07 PM
not seeing it
12/1/2008 4:36:24 PM
There is just no one has skilled as Tebow.-He is throwing tds-running for tds, -running for first downs-lowering his head and running thru people-blocking downfield for td runsHe is SO underrated, when it comes to his ability as a passer
12/3/2008 8:59:17 AM
^those are all great, accurate things... that heisman voters do NOT look atwith qbs, it is stats
12/3/2008 9:01:42 AM
I understand that he is likely not going to win the heisman again this year but when I watch him, bradford, and mccoy. I just think He is a lot more gifted than those guys.if Bradford wins this week and performs well, he is your heismanif Bradford loses, McCoy is your heismanif Bradford loses, and Tebow has like 6 tds, it may be a close race
12/3/2008 9:05:14 AM
i think Tebow will win it because Heisman winners rarely amount to shit in the NFL and we all know jorts boy will be a flop
12/3/2008 9:20:50 AM
I think the opposite. I think He is going to shock some people in the NFL. He is 6'3", 240 - has NFL sizeHe is not going to shy away from a hit.He has an NFL armanother thing that will help him is that he is left handed.
12/3/2008 9:52:34 AM
How does him being left handed help him out? He isn't a MLB pitcher.
12/3/2008 9:55:49 AM
I think he could be a bigger Steve Young
12/3/2008 9:58:19 AM
Again...how does him being left-handed give him an advantage?
12/3/2008 9:59:15 AM
