I've had a pair of Philips HN110s for a few years. I don't know if they're studio quality, but they're the best all-around headphones I've ever owned. ~$75

speaking from experience, i do NOT recommend the sony MDR-V600'squality is fine enough, but the arch thing in between the two earpieces got bent/broke. and over time, the covering on the earpieces has eroded and leaves little black flecks of fabric material on my ears/faceplus, they retail around $99 (don't know if they still make them though)

I've got the Sennheiser HD 202's, which are a lot cheaper than the 280s. They work for me, but I'm just listening to music with them from time to time. They're very comfortable though.http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Sennheiser-HD-202-Intense-Stereo-Headphones?sku=242412
