sounds dumb
11/10/2008 5:24:14 PM
^ it's pixar, dude!
11/10/2008 5:37:02 PM
pixar can do no wrongi fucking hate NASCAR and still thoroughly enjoy Cars
11/10/2008 5:51:02 PM
with every pixar movie i cant see where they're going with the idea and it turns out great. Toys, bugs, talking cars, a rat that wants to be a chef and a robot on an empty planet all sound like stupid main characters too. I'm not doubting them anymore until they actually make a movie that sucks.[Edited on November 10, 2008 at 6:03 PM. Reason : forgot nemo, that one was good too]
11/10/2008 6:02:33 PM
agreed, <3 pixar
11/10/2008 6:16:31 PM
even their animated shorts are great!
11/10/2008 6:17:28 PM
pixar's worst animated movie is better than dreamwork's bestLORD OF ABSOLUTES
11/10/2008 7:11:36 PM
^ verdict is out until I see Bolt. i'm sorry i have a soft spot for pets. esp ones that talk.
11/10/2008 7:19:23 PM
one day Pixar will remake Brave Little Toasterand it will be a whole new world forever after
11/10/2008 7:32:48 PM
^^I'm pretty sure Bolt wasn't made by Pixar, but by Disney and whatever internal resources they have. This sounds pretty cool. It's rare to see a movie about old people, much less an animated one. Given Pixar's history, I think it'll be a winner.

I still haven't seen Wall-E.
11/11/2008 9:11:46 AM
^^ with that said, after pixar reverse tookover disney, they came in, stopped production on bolt, and completely reworked it. It was apparently a lot shittier than what it turned out to be.
11/11/2008 9:17:07 AM
The fucking balloons.Jesus.Best studio in business today.^^ Go see Wall-E.
11/11/2008 9:05:05 PM
From what I heard, it sounds like a tear-jerker. This post has a long description of the opening scene. Just from the description, I found it touching.http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=17505

5/22/2009 1:23:57 AM
I'd like a Pixar remake of "An American Tale" or "All Dogs Go To Heaven"
5/22/2009 7:15:29 AM
5/22/2009 7:21:02 AM
it premiered at Cannes last week and Ebert loved ithttp://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2009/05/up_up_and_away_in_my_beautiful.html

5/22/2009 10:01:27 AM
Can't wait to see this. The scene in the advertisements where the guy is shooing away the bird, and the bird copies him, makes me LOL every time.

5/26/2009 6:22:52 PM
it's awesome they got the "guess who's coming to dinner" spencer tracy and the "airplane" era chuck conners to star in the movie
5/26/2009 6:35:43 PM
5/27/2009 5:18:57 AM
5/27/2009 5:22:18 AM
I'm sure this is probably an older gag, but I wonder if the idea for the talking dog collar thing came from a Dexter's Lab episiode? Not that I particularly care since it's still funny, but I am curious.
5/27/2009 8:13:55 AM
has to be olderhell, i'm pretty sure astro on the jetsons had a talking dog collar at some point
5/27/2009 8:58:08 AM
http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/up/Tells you where it's playing in 3d. Anyone in Charlotte going tonight? I'm trying to find a theatre playing it in 3d at midnight. Concord Mills has it at midnight, but it's not in 3d. Anyone?
5/28/2009 7:54:48 PM
try northlake?
5/28/2009 8:04:41 PM
Northlake has it in 3d, but not tonight. I might just not do 3d. http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2009/05/up_up_and_away_in_my_beautiful.html
5/28/2009 8:28:28 PM
I wonder when they will start making crappy movies. Before Wall-E, I hadn't seen a pixar movie in a while and had thought maybe others had caught up. Turns out that Pixar is still in a class of quality far above every other animation house. Story/art/style -- everything[Edited on May 28, 2009 at 9:19 PM. Reason : .]
5/28/2009 9:19:16 PM
bah, my theater is having no midnight show for this or Drag Me To Hell.oh well. Saturday.
