Humorous given that these same folks probably were the same ones talking about going to Canada when they lost in 2000 and 2004.Can't say I've met anyone this gracious in person. If anything, I have one friend who's an Obama supporter harass another friend who's an Obama skeptic for over an hour the day after the election about not understanding the glories of Obama and that war experience traumatizes people leaving the incapable of making rational decisions.

Yeah, he's risking looking like an idiot in the hopes of being original. It doesn't look like he pulled that one off.

Whats funny is the way Repubs are acting like the end of the world was just how the liberals were crying that Bush was the coming of Satan.
11/7/2008 6:43:13 PM

11/7/2008 7:29:24 PM

Some of you people are just as bad as the wingnuts calling Obama the biblical antichrist. Why are you people rushing so headlong into partisan douchebaggery? It's anti-intellectual bullshit no matter which side it's coming from.
11/7/2008 7:43:00 PM
Hahaha. The responses to this thread make me laff (moron, schmoe, birdge)."See, we're willing to 'unite' with you under Obama. Not like you ignorant fucks were when Bush won."Classic.

^^^I was responding to HUR's assertion that there was somehow any similarities between post-election behavior of Democrats in 2000 and the post-election behavior of Republicans in 2008.The website is cute, I guess. I have no intention of blindly uniting with people though.I do believe there are a few issues on which most of us should be able to find common ground. But I can't see myself ever being able to unite with people on the fringes, like people who think Palin is "The One," think McCain wasn't conservative enough, think W. is a great president, think Christianity should be taught in school, think man's affect on the globe is negligible, think Hussein had WMDs, think their opinion is the most important thing on the entire planet...I could never "unite" with those people.Frankly, I don't have to unite with them. We may swing backwards every once in a while, but for the most part, we're moving forward like a train...I've got my ticket and taken my seat. And I can't say I'm worried about the few selfish fucks dawdling on the platform.

Conservatives being gracious is a pretty ironic concept considering the cornerstone of their ideology was 'us vs them.'
11/10/2008 4:50:37 AM
both sides were equally guilty of us vs. them.more so this election than i've ever seen in my lifetime.
