Don't you mean venture capital? For a private business to get a grant, there has to be some sort of community benefit or greater cause.

This is a management class assignment. I dont like the grants the prof posted (they are all for libraries), she gave the option for us to find our own.This isnt "for real" this is practice for us in the class to write a grant. Im sorry cj - I should have been more specific.Most govt grants now are only accepted online. I need a copy of a paper application for a grant, if they are archived anywhere.It seems most of the govt stuff you need a user/login to access, and have to go through some type of application/approval process to even get that.

look up Small Business Initiative for Research (SBIR) grants. i think each department of the federal government issues them, but the only ones i've had experience with are with the DoD
