I am registered to take CH 221 with Sandberg, but the R&R site describes the course as:

THESE WILL BE COMPUTER FACILITATED SECTIONS (A HYBRID INQUIRY-BASED STYLE OF CLASS

anyone know what this means? or has had a course with this description?

*title of thread should be Spring 2009

I am in CH223 with Sandberg this semester btw...

I wouldn't take this section because when it comes time to take the exam the traditional classroom with 200 some students gets the option of taking exams via webassign or an in-class exam. I chose to take the first exam online and did pretty well since everything you do is on powerpoint and webassign.

so this sounds like a recommendation for the computer facilitated section; but, say you do bad on the computer exam which a lot of people did. You probably would want to take the next exam on paper but if you're in that section you don't have that option and must take exams on webassign.

just do the normal classroom if you can.

dr sandberg's exams in webassign are very similar to the homeworks she gives in webassign; if you take the exams at the delta testing site (venture ii, suite 500), you have scratch paper to work on--all you have to do is do your work on paper and input the answer into webassign. if you do all of your homeworks, you should be more than capable.

being "computer-facilitated" doesn't make it anymore difficult.
