I can't find anything on Google about this so I thought someone here may know the answer off the top of their head.

since installing AVG (and completely removing norton AV stuff), I've been having to log in with usernames and passwords after leaving Mozilla idle/restarting the computer. I don't really see anything relevant in AVG's or Mozilla's settings.

any ideas?

Firefox 3.0.3 and AVG free edition 8.0

Something to do with deleting cookies/temp files... possibly. Did you install the AVG "toolbar" too?

^agreed. Most likely culprit.

Your lucky, we got one of the latest updates from AVG and it locked the internet out completely. Had to go back and download the latest version with the updates already in it to bypass the problem and do either a full install or a repair.
