Short term actuary modeling...cant find anything on this at all besides the course description. guessing it means it is a new class..or atleast one they havent had in awhile. anyone know anything about the course or its professor - T. Pang?

They teach it every spring every year. The reason you can't find a grade distribution is because every year a lot of people drop since T. Pang is such a horrible teacher.I took ST(MA)412, which blew.

dang, the description looked not to bad, considering im a stat major/math minor. so if you were able to not have to take it, you wouldnt?

I took 412 because I'm a math major and stat minor. I'm glad I did, it got A LOT of requirements out of the way for me, but if you're gonna be here another year or two, I'd take MA 412 instead. Also I had Min Kang, who rocked (despite being really hard).[Edited on October 27, 2008 at 7:34 PM. it will be my last semester in undergrad and i need an elective over 300 level for the most part. however most of the classes on there have requirements for being a 300 level class, making math and stat the main classes i qualify for..suggestions?

haha done that. i think ive looked at most of the math/stat i could take that i havent already. i thought about st 507, woodard said i wouldnt learn anything new in there and would be an easy A+, which i wouldnt mind really but class time of 6:00-9ish on a wed night isnt appealing. so it doesnt have to be a math/stat class i take

looked interesting, and of course the only time it is given conflicts with a stat class I have to take to graduate.

413 is easy but sitting through his lectures are painful. He writes really small and keeps everything crammed together and has a thick accent. Imagine how you write a cheat sheet for a test. That's what the black board looks like when Pang teaches.
