ok so I don't know a lot about these drag racing terms. Is there a 1/4 chassis car too? Are these NHRA classes or something? I tried a quick google and wikipedia search and I couldn't get a good explanation[Edited on October 27, 2008 at 1:11 AM. Reason : like is a 7.09@193 in a 3/4 chassis really impressive?]

its how the load is distributed mainly, think of a chassis like a concrete house foundation, rediculously overbuilt, and a tube frame like a mobile home, take out one peice and the whole structure fails

yea 7.09@193 with a somewhat stock front-end is impressivestock suspension true 10.5( and some 9.5 now) is where its at. that and nhra stockers.and hurleys setup is also called a back-half. not much of a point to 3/4 chassis unless its rules mandated to keep the front-end imo.
