My gf's car is from around 1995. The A/C has one dial for fan speed, one for temp, and one for {off, dash vent, foot vent, defrost, A/C, and Max A/C}.

What's the difference between A/C and Max A/C?

no it isn't anything about the sound of it, the force of air coming out of the vents is more when i put it on max a/c

the "force of the air" coming out of the vent does not equal acutal blower motor output.
