5-1 odds for obama IMO

23 million have aleady cast their ballots across the country fwiw
11/3/2008 9:31:18 AM
Yeah, if PA and VA are called early for Obama, it's over. There would no longer be any realistic scenario in which McCain could get to 270. Although, I'm sure the media is going to actually wait until polls close on the west coast to "call it".
11/3/2008 10:07:06 AM
so when do you think we'll know who the winner is? i'm predicting a recount in NC.
11/3/2008 10:20:55 AM
Does anyone know a good channel to watch this on?
11/3/2008 10:40:02 AM
^^^ They'll wait because McCain in theory could win Colorado, in which case he could pull New Mexico, Nevada, and New Hampshire and win.But yeah, Virginia and Pennsylvania called early will zap most of the intrigue out of the night.[Edited on November 3, 2008 at 10:58 AM. Reason : looked at Iowa polls lol]

Just in case anyone forgot 2004, here is a reminder to ignore exit polls. They are garbage, don't listen to them.http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/ten-reasons-why-you-should-ignore-exit.html
11/4/2008 1:18:53 PM
^thanks, i was about to post that.
11/4/2008 1:19:41 PM
Buncombe County has been NC's only bellweather going back to 1980 - it will be interesting to see if that holds up.

I just want to say congratulations to the obama supporters. I know you all are pretty happy. (or soon will be)although Im kinda hoping I just jinxed ya.
11/4/2008 3:44:52 PM
let's see. may the best man win and i'll support whoever that is. i just would find that a much easier prospect with Obama.
11/4/2008 3:49:16 PM
if Obama eeks out Indiana then we won't even have to wait for Virginia
11/4/2008 6:50:39 PM
Sure the night is in its infancy, but...right now Clinton County in Indiana is 50% to 49% in favor of McCain with 15% of the precincts in.Bush won that County by 43% in 2004, 71% to 28%.
11/4/2008 6:53:39 PM
^where are you getting the by-county information?
11/4/2008 6:56:50 PM
KY and VT called, red and blue respectively.[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 7:01 PM. Reason : ]

god I hate all of this projected winner with 0% reporting
11/4/2008 7:03:49 PM
So I'm sitting here trying Budweiser's new beer because I thought it was appropriate - American Ale....but man it's so disgusting I'm about to hurl.Don't drink this shit, just so you know. I felt all patriotic drinking it but that immediately made me want to grab a Guinness out of the fridge.
11/4/2008 7:07:32 PM
County by county is available at most places - MSNBC, CNN, Google....Google has historical county results
11/4/2008 7:09:03 PM
^^I bought a sixpack of Victory Hop Devil. I thought it was appropriate. And Indiana's close. Meaning the polls were somewhat correct. Meaning Obama's won.[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 7:09 PM. Reason : ]

11/4/2008 7:09:44 PM

11/4/2008 7:14:00 PM
NHK TV of course.
11/4/2008 7:15:00 PM
cool tech cnn
11/4/2008 7:16:24 PM
CNN just pulled some star wars shit...
11/4/2008 7:16:26 PM
Indiana looking good, keep in mind this is before Marion (Indy) and Lake (Gary) have even come in. If he holds it this close, and the turnout is good in those places, Obama could potentially take Indiana which would be pretty crazy.
11/4/2008 7:16:36 PM
wow, CNN just "beamed" someone in using a hologram. officially changing the channel
11/4/2008 7:16:38 PM
Holy Shit, CNN has Quantum Leap technology. Bitch just whipped out ziggy and hologrammed into the election center
11/4/2008 7:16:46 PM
If he takes Indiana I'm just going to 1/4 pay attention to the TV, and 3/4 pay attention to Fallout 3, because it'll be over.
11/4/2008 7:17:49 PM

11/4/2008 7:18:09 PM

11/4/2008 7:20:22 PM
I'm watching hockey and refreshing wunc.org. I missed the "beam in"
11/4/2008 7:20:24 PM
I'm watching MSNBC because that shit is ridiculous. Plus I like the balance they have with Chris Matthews, David Gregory, Pat Buchanan, and that repub strategist Mike Murphy is a pretty nice guy
