wow this is so annoying - first they hid the file types tab from folder options into the "Default Programs" section in the control panel, and now that i found that, i see that they've dumbed it down so that you can't even change HTML editors, only the main program that the file type will open with.how do i do this?i want to leave firefox as the default program to open html files but want to be able to edit HTML in notepad++

Hold down Shift, Right-click, Open with..., Choose the program and check the box to Use as Default (or something like that)....and yes, the dumbing down pissed me off too.[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 12:33 PM. Reason : .]

well that would just change the default program it opens withthat's already fine as firefoxbut my HTML editor is set as MS Word - so if it right click and go to edit, or if I want to edit straight from FlashFXP, it always opens Word. I'd like it to open Notepad++ if i choose an edit command and firefox if i double click to open it

ok, so changing the editor in internet explorer's options lets me make it notepad but notepad++ doesn't even get listed in that dropdown menu
