10/7/2008 10:11:50 AM
Can you assist me (or I assist you) in replacing all the bushings in my car's suspension?
10/7/2008 10:13:43 AM
Well, I don't have a press at the moment. Replacing bushings is a BITCH without one. Suspension work is some of the hardest to do without the proper tools...
10/7/2008 10:32:34 AM
Ummm, valve adjustment? Wheel bearing replacement?
10/7/2008 10:37:44 AM
Valve adjustment is no problem. Where you staying?Rear wheel bearings are easy on those cars. Fronts...well, that really requires a press. One of these days I'm going to have to buy one.
10/7/2008 10:45:48 AM
I haven't checked the rears but they're original (273k miles, so maybe they need replacement?) The front passenger one might need replacing, seemed like there was some play.I live off Lineberry near Trailwood.
10/7/2008 10:54:48 AM
dan if you wanted to knock it out at my house you could use my press.
10/7/2008 11:12:50 AM
^dude. You are the man.^^Pat, when are you thinking?
10/7/2008 11:15:24 AM
That'd be pimp! I don't have a suspension bushing kit in my possession yet though, so I'd have to order it. I know you're tight for money now but towards the end of the money is the only time i can do this financially.
10/7/2008 11:26:26 AM
PM sent.
10/7/2008 11:28:57 AM
Shit moneys tight for erryone.
10/7/2008 11:38:24 AM

10/7/2008 2:15:45 PM
^if the timing is right i might roll to raleigh and add my 95 civic to the bushing rosterneeds 'emand i've been needing to meet some of y'all fuckers
10/7/2008 2:17:32 PM
^sounds good man, that'd be pretty crazy with 3 of us working on our suspensions. But we better keep those parts separate since all our cars have the same set up lol.Is Energy Suspension a good brand for performance bushings? Found their master kit for $154.
10/7/2008 3:47:26 PM
I think they ain't too bad. I had a set for my 280ZX.
10/7/2008 5:20:53 PM

10/7/2008 5:45:09 PM
i can get you energy suspension stuff cheap (prothane too)you got a part number?yours is '92? 16.18104?fwiw, we sell a lot of their stuff and never a complaint. prothane is a little higher durometer, iirc.[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 5:54 PM. 10/8/2008 5:33:01 PM
I need to get a front camber kit. For some reason the dingbats at a shop in NYC REMOVED the Ingalls kit I formerly had on there.Should I get another Ingalls kit? It worked pretty well, but from what I'm reading the Eibach kit might be better. It costs a few bucks more. Anyone had experience with the Eibach kit?(FYI I can install this on my own, I just didn't know what thread to put it in)
10/9/2008 9:24:24 AM
if you didnt have any problem with the ingalls kit, why change?i'm sure either kit would work fine.
10/9/2008 10:15:26 AM
Dan, where do you live nowaday?
10/9/2008 11:56:04 AM
Right near RTP...close to where Lumley Road runs into Miami Blvd.
10/9/2008 12:54:53 PM
99 sentra 1.6l 125kProbably needs valve adjustment, how much would you charge?
10/9/2008 1:30:14 PM
You can't adjust those valves. They have hydraulic lash adjusters. If it's clattering then somebody didn't change the oil as often as they should have.
