So I am planning on buying an in-dash deck the next few weeks primarily to just have an aux input.

I got my car in NY and have one of those crazy car alarm systems. I'm not too sure about it but if I have a friend do the installation are we going to have issues with my car alarm going off???

Also..if you have any suggestions on decks you can post them here too I'm not too knowledgeable about cars..

Just go to a good car audio place and pay the money to have it done right the first time.

well my friend used to do this in high school/college so I'm sure he can do it...I'm just worried about my alarm.

if you disconnect your battery
the car alarm will not go off

^that might screw up the alarm system for good though. I wouldn't risk it, just go to somewhere reputable and pay them $50 to get it installed.

You should not have any problems with installing a different HU in the car.
