Need one for my 05 Impala. Good Experiences?Bad Experiences?Suggestions? The torque converter has gone bad and corrupted the tranny. I figured if I'm going to drop $2K I may as well get some additional coverage with it.

is your factory warranty still in effect?the cheapest ones are usually when the car is new.i've never found a company that will cover a old car.

waste of money. how many miles? what was the original purchase date? factory one is 3yr/36k, unless you're well in excess of that you need to fight gm. that's a pretty unacceptable failure for such a new car unless it's been abused/neglected or has abnormally high miles.^lots of companies offer extended coverage for used vehicles. it's just financially retarded 90% of the time...[Edited on October 1, 2008 at 6:33 PM. I paid $2000 for a 3 year extension after the factory warranty. In the first year and a half it paid for itself. I believe it was well worth it.It paid most of the cost of an alternator, A/C system, and fuse box.

NEVER buy an extended warranty offered by a company other than the manufacturer.for more info:http://www.clarkhoward.com

It'll actually be covered under the warranty, i thought it had expired, (mileage, not time) but I've got another 7K miles, so im good.
