Why didn't you put hockey in the thread title then?

Speaking of that, what sort of record do you think the Canes will have at the end of the season?

^^^ eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, because it was one of the three, count 'em, THREE, movies in american directors that wasn't directed by an american

^ Werner Herzog...because of Klaus Kinski.

Highlight of this course was Devin refusing to analyze to rollerskating scene in Monster during class because Journey sucks.

Best movie on the syllabus was All the Real Girls, though.

Hahahaha! I liked your piece. Did you minor in music and film? I just remember seeing you in a fair amount of classes. And by that, I mean the two (MUS 301 and ENG 492).

how did you feel about the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford? i thought it was fantastic but a lot of people i know find it boring.

surely a man w/ such taste agrees that it was brilliant in many ways, especially acting, cinematography and soundtrack.

i was one credit short of a music minor i think...and i would've had a film minor if my major had been different, but LCW has so many holes for ENG credits that can be fulfilled by film courses instead, i just did that

^ it was quite beautiful, but i wouldn't watch it again

the straight story, on the other hand, is beautiful AND has replay value

we watched 42nd street in 204 last week. Earlier this year we watched Broken Blossoms. It was kind of lame. Then we watched Sherlock Jr. and then City Lights. This week we watched one about a college graduate named rose who gets a job as a children's maid. A kid named Marie gets attached to her. chaos ensues. a rabbit is almost eaten. a mouse is burned by madame paulin. a mouse is set free by the Dr. that want's to bone Rose. I forgot what it's called though. sometimes part of the white subtitles would go over something large and white on the screen, making the shit virtually impossible to read. This isn't really a question.

you know, Halpern told me that he was a second-rate writer

and I could see that... I mean, his style isn't totally mindblowing

but the content is well worth exploring
