Can't fucking wait! I LOVE Little Britain
9/28/2008 10:02:07 PM
never seen thisisn't this one of the main shows Extras was pretty much making fun of?
9/28/2008 10:09:22 PM
Are there actually new episodes or is it just the same episodes from the English series?
9/28/2008 10:34:47 PM
Supposedly they took time off from making the UK version to make this one so I assume they're new.
9/28/2008 10:36:51 PM
this is some of the dumbest shit i've ever seen.
9/28/2008 10:37:03 PM
they filmed the american version in wilmington
9/28/2008 10:42:28 PM
Ah, I'll have to start watching then. I missed it tonight but I will assume that HBO still will have it on demand.I hope they have that crazy Scottish guy, he's my favorite of the characters. And yeah, the show is really really dumb... but you either really like it or really hate it.

some of this is funny"hit or miss," as they say[Edited on September 28, 2008 at 10:45 PM. Reason : fhsd]

from the few clips i've seen, its definitely no "that mitchell and webb look"

^his show When the Whistle Blows is dumbed down so much with catchphrases and celebrities so it will appeal to the broadest audience possible and even though it gets ratings, it gets no respect from real actors and criticsand I thought I read somewhere it was really a direct commentary on Little Britain because of its catchphrases and stuff
9/29/2008 7:43:27 AM
All sitcoms use catch phrases... little britain is sketch comedy. When the Whistle Blows was an actual show. And Little Britain really doesn't use a lot of celebrities (granted, Rosie O'Donnell was on last night's episdoe)... it's pretty much just the two main dudes. And the comedy is pretty fucking smart... it's not dumb comedy. And it's freaking amazing that two actors can play that many very different characters

i had the tv muted and saw commercials for this, and it looked horrible even without sound.
9/29/2008 9:12:44 AM
if there's one thing this show isn't, it's "smart comedy".
9/29/2008 10:13:15 AM
anyone else want to help me defend this show? I think you all should watch more than one episode... particularly more than one "muted" episode... before forming a judgement. Once you get to know the characters, you will see that it's fucking hilarious. And, again, these dudes are talented as hell to be able to play that many very different characters

The show is bad ass. I love the BBC version. I had to tape last nights episode. The average american audience wont get it, and thats why HBO is playing it late at night. Its not designed to be massively popular here. But Im glad we get 6 more episodes.

It is definitely a good show if you get the humor, that's the thing. If you are expecting humor like they had in Extras then you will be disappointed.

I lost it when the grandma said "GLUUEEEEE" hahah
9/29/2008 1:22:00 PM
"I love you more than roses!""I love you more than cotton candy!""I love you more than cum shots!"
9/29/2008 2:31:15 PM
i had never seen little britain on bbc but apparently "computer says no" is something they've done a few times before
9/29/2008 2:44:06 PM
I really wanted to like this show. I've been a fan of Matt Lucas for a while now, but I gave it 3 episodes and watching this show was more like torture than funny so I give up. Anyone else still watching?
10/14/2008 12:47:04 AM
i've been leaving it on to make sure i don't miss the life and times of tim, but that's about the extent of my interest in it.
