I can't get the CPU past 3.0Ghz. The fsb wont budge from anything past 1333mhz. I think I am going to go back to the original 1.0 bios after I can get the computer to reset its bios settings. With the P06 bios the CMOS reset button on the back of the motherboard will not work.

I think I am trying to run the Northbridge anf fsb voltage too high.

For the sake of testing, strap fans to your chipsets or open up the case and point a desk fan at it. Bump your chipset voltages about 10-20% above normal.

Find the VID for your chip (run Core Temp or CPU-Z to get it) and set the CPU voltage to that value. Set your RAM to stock settings (or even slow the timings). Set your FSB to 400MHz (1600 quad-pumped). Set your CPU multiplier to 8 (for 3.2GHz) or 9 (for 3.6).

Verify that your PCIe frequency is not linked to your FSB (some mobo's automatically increase PCIe frequency with FSB). Disconnect your graphics card and use onboard if you have it or a cheap bus-powered card.

The idea is to remove the power supply, RAM, and GPU from the list of things that might be fucking you up.

Running the voltage a little high shouldn't screw anything up as long as you keep it cool. I have a feeling the motherboard is the weak link here based on prior PMs.

I think I am going to flash the bios back to 1.0 and start from there. Apparently there is no way to monitor the bridge temps on this board because MSI didn't put sensors on them. I lowered the fsb and northbridge voltage, since 3.0GHz doesn't need to run 1.5v on the northbridge.
