which garage close by has a pretty solid reputation among students and nearby residents? minor maintenance for japanese imports (honda, nissan, toyota, etc). i tried to reply to an old thread on tww but it wouldn't allow me to.my cousin has a 99 civic that broke down near campus. she is asking for help but i don't know where to send her. she told me her car was running really rough and she took it to autozone. i think they said it was possibly the spark plugs. after a week the car wouldn't start and is now stuck in a parking lot.

go get some plugs there is nothing wrong with being a parking lot mechanic.do all you can at first, because a shop will take your money. spark plugs are so easy im sure she could do it herself with some tools from a friend or something.

I have had a few things done at the AAA Automark on Tryon / Avent Ferry. They were pretty cool

i was recommended tommy at what used to be the mission valley 66 at the intersection of western and avent ferry...i assume tommy is still there, despite the fact that it's a resco now (maybe it's still called mission valley 66)he beat everyone else's prices by a significant margin and it was a VERY quick turnaround (this was an A/C compressor issue)he is NOT a talker, though, so don't be offended if he's all business
