so i try and use my windows media player and it comes up just green but still plays it...just no picture...

whats wrong?

It's copyright protection. WMP tells MS that you're downloading illegal movies, and then MS programs WMP to not play them properly.

I'd delete the movie ASAP in case the FBI comes knocking on your door.

you're probably missing the correct codec. Try getting the K-lite or Vista codec pack from free-codecs.com (google it, that may be wrong). If that doesn't work switch to a better player - such as ^, which has the codecs embedded into the player instead of in the system.
