I really find the rights recent turn on the Palin sexism issue to be disgusting. They were on the other side of the fence and speaking out against hillary when she was making these clearly unsubstantiated claims within her own party yet now they are pulling the same card. the republicans tend to do this often. they will rag and often slander those on the left and assert that person's opinion and/or actions are morally decrepit, and then later defend the same thing for themselves. its one of the first rules in the book "the prince", you accuse your opponent of what it is your doing. it is also morally inconsistent and devoid of sound reason.http://www.indecision2008.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=184086the link is five minutes, and sums it up nicely with examples of previous takes [Edited on September 12, 2008 at 9:54 AM. if you get your news from john stewart, you should lose the right to vote
9/12/2008 9:59:39 AM
oh get off your high horse about john stewart. it's a sad look at the hypocrisy in politics in general, and sometimes, because the mainstream media has their heads so far up their asses, it takes people like john stewart and steven colbert to point this shit out.
9/12/2008 10:02:32 AM
john stewart is a fucking comedian who reports fake news ..
9/12/2008 10:09:15 AM
This isn't an attack on politicians. This is an attack on ALL the fucking idiots on the right who side with their party without thinking for themselves. Fucking open your eyes and make a choice for yourself instead of blindly following whatever the people in charge tell you.TKE, the fact that you won't even respond to the content of the video is exemplary of everything that is wrong with conservative politics in this country. YOU PEOPLE are fucking idiots.

let's be honest here. i know that rarely happens here, but look:1) hillary is pissed she didn't win. so is bill. you really think she wants obama to win and force her to wait 8 years to run for president again?? no.2) continued bashing on palin is awesome. i encourage it. it only shows how thugish the democrats have become. it's ok, if you're sensible, you still don't have to vote for them, it's not too late.
9/12/2008 10:29:59 AM
the republican party panders to the willfully ignorantTHE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATORthat's why they're successful and why it's constantly an uphill battle for the democrats

9/12/2008 10:36:27 AM
if everything thats wrong with conservative politics is the fact that i dont respect a biased comedian who reports fake news as a part of his act, then, id say were doing pretty good

9/12/2008 10:48:30 AM
^^^^^ There might be a point there if it weren't Democrats voting for who will be at the top of their ticket. But they did vote for it. So it doesn't matter two shits what Republicans want. That's like saying the left was trying to get Tom Tancredo the Republican nomination because he would be easier to beat.^ You would actually have to give a fuck enough to vote to take orders.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 10:51 AM. see twista. that's my point^in their opinion the power hungry/ tax hungry horde has already won. (in actuality he(obama) is just a glorified speech giver) but they already assume he's got the people with jobs and educations shaking in their boots giving their money to the lazy.they don't care what the american public wants. it's all up to a handfull of men that meet daily and broadcast talking points. they get the rss feed and begin spewing and don't even care if an actual vote will be taken this year.we might as well skip the actual election according to the hockey, baseball, soccer mom haters.[Edited on September 12, 2008 at 11:24 AM. ^McCain also advocates advancements in nuclear power and increasing the number of nuclear power plants in the US. It's one of the few things I still like about the Republican side... too bad his campaign and the GOP are also tied up with advocating drilling for their big oil buddies.
9/12/2008 1:57:23 PM
Cue LoneSnark and his inane babble about how overconsumption is somehow fantastic and questions the validity of environmental protection if it means we can't consume more. . .

Yeh. All that namecalling I've done.
9/12/2008 3:04:24 PM
Ok csharp, maybe you just need a lesson. This is how intellegent discourse is supposed to work: Theis, support, refutation, support, etc.Refer to my post about 6 posts up: My thesis was that Republicans push consumption even when it contradicts our national security goals. To support it I talked about their resisting efforts at less consumption through MPG improvements, exempting SUVs from MPG goals, and consuming more oil through the Strategic Petrolium Reserve. Now refer to your typical post - which I contend is just cheap sloganeering, and unsupported name calling:
