SPEAKING OF DEBATES...

Why is it that our good friend Joe Biden have to get up this morning and make a fool of himself asking when Palin is FINALLY gonna do an interview?

Isn't this the same vp to the guy who has -yet- to take on a single town hall debate that McCain has offered him.

What a bunch of 2nd rate propaganda.

lol

Perdue looks like she doesn't have a clue what she is talking about.

I think she was stronger on education so far talking about a broader goal and different tracts of education, instead of McCrory's desired shift towards mainly vocational.

He wasn't talking about going mainly toward vocational, but just offering again. I teach in Charlotte and vocational doesn't exist anymore and its terrible. I have kids taking world history in high school who can barely read. THat isn't doing them any good...let them learn a skill so they can have a job one day.

^Or fix the problem earlier so that they can read instead of just lowering expectations.

I also like that she just called to mind the state constitution, against a republican, as being a motivator for her education policies.

I'm not so sure about her supporting faith based programs... I'm always a little worried with the mingling of church & state, I think I'll have to read up on her position here more.

Of course that is the priority to fix it earlier....but some kids aren't going to college and you've got to have something for them.

And Perdue's broad education goals with community college, vocational training, and four year college as all needing more attention, instead of McCrory's focus on shifting much more heavily towards vocational, still covers your concerns while allowing for people like me to go to NCSU instead of the more vocational track I could have easily been pushed down coming from small town, North Carolina.

"The arts wont survive if we don't have jobs" "It's those people who pay for the arts"
-McCory

That reasoning is why arts/music died at the expense of sports programs at several schools in the county I grew up in.

She mentioned fighting to raise teachers pay.
She is talking about teacher pay importance again.

It's funny, but she was originally against giving fines and forfeitures (6 years ago) to school districts when that case first surfaced...which is against the constitution. Now she wants to put $750 million into a "technology fund."

She's got some dirt on her face.

She's really horrible in debates. The only reason she won the democratic primary is that nobody watched the debates.
