[old]
9/7/2008 8:32:22 PM
Its all been downhill since he's choked in the playoffs two years in a row
9/7/2008 8:32:47 PM
we all knew it when it happened, i dont feel a single bit bad for them or him
9/7/2008 8:33:02 PM
What a great day... the Panthers win and Brady is out for the season.
9/7/2008 8:40:34 PM
I hate to see a person out for the season. It is a part of football, and it was a fair and clean hit so to speak. I have been a pats fan since Bledsoe, and this is how Brady got his start, so maybe this is how Cassel gets his. Sucks for any player to be in this situation. But its football, the next week is going to come regardless. I hate it as a Pats fan and football fan, but as a fan of the game, I move on. III
9/7/2008 8:53:30 PM
oh praise to the football gods
9/7/2008 9:03:00 PM
it'd be funny (infuriatingly) if the Pats backup steps up and takes the QB position as his own making New England forget all about Brady. You know, like he did to that other guy, what was his name again? Bledsoe, that's right... Bledsoe
9/7/2008 9:07:53 PM
karma...quit cheating and you might have had a perfect season with super bowl and not lose your best player this year
9/7/2008 9:14:26 PM
my luck. pick tom brady in fantasy football as my starter and he goes out with an ACL injury for the season before my season even begins...=(
9/7/2008 9:54:18 PM
w00t. pz
9/7/2008 9:59:04 PM
You stupid fucks aren't a day over 13 years old, are you?:
9/7/2008 10:11:48 PM
9/7/2008 10:21:53 PM
^^You (A Pats fan) seems to be the only person who thinks Brady is good for the NFL.
9/7/2008 10:23:56 PM
^ now I hate Brady and the Pats, but thats just stupid
9/7/2008 10:25:59 PM
i wanted pats to win last year because i felt gaints did not deserve to win but fuck brady this year, fuck pats!
9/7/2008 10:45:39 PM
Well it's their own fault, should have stole that "tear the qb's acl" definsive signal.
9/7/2008 11:42:49 PM
I don't see why he's "good for the NFL." He's obviously not bad for the NFL...but it's not like he's Michael Jordan or anything. I'm not happy for his injury or anything...but I'm definitely not sad either.
9/8/2008 4:28:53 AM
celebrating somebody's injury is a bit immature
9/8/2008 8:13:17 AM
every team gets one of these...panthers lost jake, steve smith for long periods of timebengals lost palmersteelers had ben get into accident and appendix taken out, not to mention the torn knee ligaments, willie parker broken legi can go on and onpats fans and players, shut up, boo hoo, get over it
9/8/2008 9:07:16 AM
Tom Brady (questionable - knee)
9/8/2008 9:36:36 AM
9/8/2008 10:40:28 AM
I am not crying about losing Brady, but it is always sad when a top player for your team is out for the season. But I will get over it.I sure as hell thought the season was down the drain when Bledsoe sent went out. I am sure most people thought Steelers when done with Burger took the reigns.I will still cheer for the Pats and hope for similar miracle. III
9/8/2008 11:04:16 AM
i find it ironic that this was his first week not on the injury report for what, 5 years?
9/8/2008 11:08:50 AM
9/8/2008 11:16:43 AM
thats some nc state shit
9/8/2008 11:31:11 AM
brady has been looked as one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. this is a big loss for the nfl in terms of interest from a market that will now focus on the red sox more and the celtics when nba season starts rather than spending money at the patriots games.
9/8/2008 11:32:56 AM
the nfl is not going to be hurting because of thisthe patriots potentially being knocked out of the afc east picture opens up the door for the jets and more favre-maniawhat a great opening weekend[Edited on September 8, 2008 at 11:36 AM. Reason : .]
9/8/2008 11:35:31 AM
yeah i dunno, this isnt hurting anything except anything related to the patriots, and maybe tv ratings for a couple of games...otherwise im sure everyone in the rest of the league is happy on the inside
9/8/2008 12:31:19 PM
9/8/2008 12:46:48 PM
^I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Foley. Cassel hasn't started a game since high school...literally. Backed up Palmer & Leinart at USC and has been a back-up to Brady in the NFL. Only 33 passes in college and 39 passes in the pros (or something like that). So what is that, like 9 passes a year in real competition over the last 8 years or so? The Pats are fucked.
9/8/2008 2:06:25 PM
9/8/2008 2:11:15 PM
9/8/2008 2:15:33 PM
For anyone who tries to say this injury is "karma" for Cameragate, you're retarded. Please join me back in reality. Its clearly karma from running up the score all the time last year.
9/8/2008 2:25:05 PM
im glad i passed on him in my fantasy drafts, almost burned a first rounder on him, man would that have been a waste
9/8/2008 3:01:29 PM
LOL, that doesn't look normal.Brady may never be the same.[Edited on September 8, 2008 at 3:52 PM. Reason : 2]
9/8/2008 3:51:02 PM
did yall see the look in his eyes from that one camera shot of him when he was down on the field? he knew he had some seriously bad shit wrong with his leg
9/8/2008 4:13:47 PM
lol at this guy who brought his fantasy roster to a party this past saturday and bragged to everyone about having 'the best player in the nfl' ...he had del homo as a backup, we'll see how that goes.
9/8/2008 4:32:37 PM
9/8/2008 4:34:16 PM
he's still "good for the league" because he's a superstarif you are a Colts or Chargers fan, you might be glad he's not playing, but from an NFL perspective, he makes the league more interesting...you might not like Kobe or Alex Rodriguez, but they're definitely good for the NBA and MLByou may not like Tiger, but he's DEFINITELY good for the PGA]
9/8/2008 4:37:23 PM
9/8/2008 4:37:36 PM
Fine, he makes the NFL money, any team going undefeated makes money. It feels to me (like someone else pointed out) that a little more parity in that division helps as well.
9/8/2008 4:44:49 PM
I like the parity, but at the same time, don't you think the game next week would be 10x bigger if it was FAVRE VS. BRADY, instead of Favre vs. Cassel? Any superstar is good for the leagueand I hate the Pats and Brady, but I"m just saying
9/8/2008 4:47:38 PM
Achieving parity by bringing the Patriots down to the level of the other teams in their division isn't exactly ideal. All this means is more shitty football.
9/8/2008 4:52:07 PM
I am agreeing with TreeTwista10. He is on point with argument. Love or hate, Brady brought attention, coverage, news to the league. And in a positive light except for that whole sleeping around and all LOL. III
9/8/2008 5:30:30 PM
My guess is he also tore his meniscus. I've heard thats more painful than snapping your ACL.ACL tears suck But I'm no fan of The Pats so TS!
9/8/2008 6:23:31 PM
Its a league of StarsJust like Baseball and basketballIts a team game, but Stars are what drives the leagueDoesn't matter if you hate them or love themYou watch them and talk about themand thats all the League cares aboutIts much better to be hated than not cared about at all
9/8/2008 6:26:09 PM
all this league talk, frankly, one season of no brady doesnt bother me...as a steelers fan, it just weeds the patriots out, and thats fine...its not like if we go further than the patriots that its a fluke just because he's out...shit happens, every team gets a star hurt at some point, its just their turn.
