I need one. For my Accord. Cheap. Don't give a shit if it's high-performance, high-flow, high-dolla, high-falutin' and all that jazz. Because my bitch ass gotta EAT, nikkas. And I gotta get the car inspected.

Yes, the dreaded P0420 code.

On another note...anybody ever try spraying out a cat with solvent or high pressure water?

i would try solvent before high pressure water

youd probably blow all the internals out with the water

naw...the thing hardly uses any oil. 134k miles on 'er tho. 5w20 Mobil 1 changed every 15k miles, rarely have to add any either. How do ya like THEM apples? LAWL.

Just holding the code. Of course I did ride around for about 30k miles with the CEL on with a code P1157 (air/fuel ratio sensor; car uses a wideband sensor upstream). Replaced the upstream sensor, and no more P1157. Now I have a code P0420.

Of course, if I had half a brain, I shoulda replaced the downstream sensor too. Could be that's fouled. Helluva lot easier to replace, and cheap too (standard platinum/ceramic heated sensor).

dan, how long ago was this? and probably not important but front or back sensor? i had a case with a couple newer hondas/acuras where the computer is so sensitive, the performance of the new sensor is so much better that it begins to think the downstream sensor is bad when it still works fine. pull the battery cable off, let it sit for a day so it totally clears the LTFT, and when you fire it up it will relearn with the new sensor. of course, i think it would be easier to reset the adaptations in the computer with a honda scantool.

^^Joel, I can pull the ECM fuse and it'll clear in 30 minutes. I need to try it again, because I replaced the upstream sensor about 3 or 4k ago.

most people stack 2 and drill the outer one (that the sensor threads into)
