If you are really legit, how come you don't own a rallyx course already? If I were in your position I wouldn't fuck around and just get it done. If I was really into rallyx I would get you a course by next year. Instead you brag about fast times and how badass you supposedly are. For autox its obviously different, but for 20k you could buy a VERY nice piece of land for rallyx. If you guys coordinated you could own this school. Legitimately.

lol, nice land for $20K, maybe in mother russia, but my friend, for $20K ill probably get 3-4 acres of NICE land. and 3-4 acres is probably enough for parking.

maybe 20 years ago i could have gotten 20acres of really nice land for $20,000. but not anymore.

ok, so how much money would you need to buy enough land for a course? I can gather up some hefty sums. All that you need is 20 interested NCSU students who are willing to put in an hour a week each.

you can probably get away with 12-14 acres of land to get a decent course.

ideally i would try to get more than that.

it really depends, if you look at it now, the 2-3 courses we run now are about 35-50 mins. away (thats where there is land to spare). and that far way, land is cheaper.

$1500-2500/acre if you can get out of town, and thats land that isnt so hot.

if you want flat land, then its more.

id rather hook up with someone instead of have my own land (well of course id love to own it, but $$ wise)...

and if you think you're gonna drag folks from here to your site, then think again. you've got something that a lot of other clubs have. a forum for cars. its gonna take time, and when that time comes you still arent going to have an active forum.

heck when i was members for SCCA and NASA, their forums were damn slow.

you've got a bunch of college kids, yeah TWW does also, but it has a bunch of folks with real world experience when it comes to whatever. the ones you want on your site are the ones who can actually make a difference and all those are stuck on this site.

this site was not designed to "get something done" in the sense of having a club or something.

its part of a college message board. this is the garage section, the sectin people come for:

people come in here and ask for advice and we give them the best possibilities. i cant recall a time when someone came back and said "nope, not a single think someone told me worked"

the guys (and girls) in here are from various walks of life. we've got 4x4 folks, v8 folks, honda/acura folks, boat folks, welding folks, stupid folks, engineering folks, i mean just about anything you can think of, someone in here could come up with an answer.

again, we arent a club or clique or neither are we starting one. a lot of us in here know each other pretty well, so we do hang out outside of this message board.

im guessing you're all about getting something done. so are we, and thats answers to peoples Q's.

morning session was WET. AWD guys were all over the place. H8R and I had a good spot to see the problem spots.

I went first, ran good then small fuel probs... the probs got bigger when H8R hopped in..

actually fixed the issue during lunch and went back out and put a smackin' on some folks.
TWAS very fun.
