shit son

12mbps down/784 up? $20/month for 12 months?

i wonder what the price goes up to after 12 months doesn't matter, i'll go with them for 12 months and then switch back to roadrunner if the price is too high

^ for that price, though, isn't there an activation or equipment rental fee? i remember checking them out a while ago, and i thought there was a $50 get-into fee

it's DSL

any provider can use the pstn to provide dsl as long as they pay subsidy fees, it's the law

i called em up as their website's ordering system was not working right for me

as I suspected they don't offer dsl to areas where ATT is the incumbent LEC (which is pretty much all of raleigh/cary). In the raleigh area they do have service at apartment complexes/developments where they got a deal with the landlord. I asked her for a list and this is what she said they serve for raleigh area:

Quote :
"
Ashworth estates
bedford at river falls
camden park
caswyck at brier creek
cornerstone at westville homes
cornerstone at centrex homes
cornerstone commonts
cornerstone village
dursten
edgewater at rogers farm
edgewater place
glenwood north
lennox place
long lake
long lake terrace
oak croft
stowe croft
hounds at umstead park
triangle town center mall
wide rivers village
knightdale
"

as i mentioned I'm pretty sure they are the incumbent LEC for the sanford area too, they got it when alltel got out of the landline business.
