8/26/2008 6:33:12 PM
that's a harder task than it seems at first.i can think of two right now, but one band i wasn't familiar w/ until their second album and the other is a bit of a guilty pleasure, so i'm not going to list either.

i don't think there is any band that i haven't been disappointed with at some point
8/26/2008 9:51:37 PM
^ i tried and tried and tried to think of a band that made more than one record that i wasn't disappointed with at some pointthe only ones i could think of were joy division, neutral milk hotel, and my bloody valentinebut they built up to brilliant shit and then disappearedso i don't know if that counts...it's practically like pulling a sex pistols/harper lee ]
8/26/2008 9:56:55 PM
have you heard "this is your bloody valentine"?not so good
8/26/2008 10:02:29 PM
rightbut it sucks, the subsequent EPs are a little better, isn't anything/glider/tremelo are damn good, and loveless is fucking incredibleso there's no disappointment, it just gets better and better and then they stopped
8/26/2008 10:04:52 PM
8/26/2008 10:09:57 PM
i could probably think of a couple if i just sat here and thought about it for hoursbut i'm not willing to put that much thought into itand of the 200 or so bands i thought of, other than the three mentioned above that i don't think count, i can't think of one that applies
8/26/2008 10:23:38 PM
8/26/2008 10:26:45 PM
^^ yea, i mean the few bands on my list didnt have /dont have very big discographies so it makes it easier. Minor Threat was one, but then again when all of your albums fit on one CD for your discography it probably isnt that hard to not screw up.Mewithoutyou is another. each album has been better than the last for me but they dont have very many.
8/26/2008 10:36:22 PM
i mean, i like most of animal collective's catalog, but "danse manatee" and "spirit they're gone.." aren't very interesting (or good), and a few of their ep's ("people" and "grass") have been pretty forgettable..arcade fire has two albums, so i don't count them. and you could say i was slightly "disappointed" with Neon Bible when it came out.i mean, no band is perfect.i guess i like everything i've heard from King Tubby, so i'll just put him
