Here is another free version of The Oregon Trail. This one is pretty funny. I didn't survive and got robbed at least 10 times. After all of my oxen had been stolen, it showed a person pushing the cart. At one point it also said one of my people had died, but then later said a disgruntled person covered in mud appeared. It tuned out that that person hadn't died.

I like the original version better though.

Don't go as the farmer, or you will end up like this. I had 6 oxen and was constantly robbed until I was down to a single ox at which point my travelers killed it, so they could eat!

Here is an updated link for the above version of The Oregon Trail. I have become addicted to this game again over the past day. I've determined the game absolutely hates the farmer though. His wagon catches on fire the most and he gets lost in the wilderness the most. The banker should be the one that is the most wilderness stupid.

Farmer, carpenter, and banker are just classes that determine how much money with which you begin the game. Like, easy, medium, and hard.

^Actually in this version the banker can only carry 100 pounds of food, the carpenter 200, and the farmer 300. It is easier to keep your family fed once you have to hunt if you are the farmer, but the carpenter is able to fix things more often than the banker and farmer. I like that twist in game play. In the original version all characters could only carry 100 pounds of meat after hunting.
