I searched and saw a few threads on this, but no solutions.I have Outlook 07 and I have rules set up to send E-mails from certain people to different folders; however, when these new E-mails come in, Outlook doesn't show them as new (folder name turns blue, shows number of unread messages) until I click on the folder, thus I don't know I have a new E-mail until I click on each folder to find out.I could set up custom alerts/messages, but I'd prefer not to, and have Outlook show me that I have new E-mails within the program it self, not some pop-up message.Any solutions to this? And no, I'm not switching to Thunderbird, etc.

well I just had the outlook rules set up so that emails going to my nc state account where sorted to different folders depending on the sender. and I noticed this morning that the folders in outlook actually showed the new message characteristics. but I'm not sure how long it takes them to do that, as when I've been at my computer but I just went ahead and set up the server-side filters just in case. now I'm waiting on some E-mails to drop in. I may just start testing it using another e-mail address I have.just got one. it works now[Edited on August 20, 2008 at 9:37 AM. Reason : .]
