I am still rockin the PPC-6700 piece of shit from a couple of years ago and I am ready to upgrade but the problem is I just do not see anything worth a crap in the Sprint lineup. I have to get Sprint because I am on my parents plan and they pay for my service so switching would be an incredibly dumb move on my part and I cannot get a blackberry because of the extra service charge they come with.So basically what I am wondering is if anyone knows if they are going to come out with some better smart phones in the near future?

Do you know of a non-Sprint phone to compare it to?

basically I want something smaller, full keyboard (none of that touchscreen only mess), and a battery that doesnt die fast as hell (battery on mine = pure shit). other than that not too picky, GPS would be nice.I am just looking to see if there are any coming out in the near future and if you know when they are coming out. If I had to get one now I would probably get the Samsung Ace because I like the size and it is at a decent price ($100 after rebates).

have you considered the mogul? I'm sure it will drop in price more than it already has once the new HTC devices are released.PPC-6800 FWIW

yeah I have but it isnt really much of a step up from what I have. I would really like something a little smaller and better on battery.

Check out the Q9c. I have one, and the battery is great. I can go 4 days without having to recharge the battery. It also has full keyboard. My only complaint is it's kinda slow, but it's because I installed a bunch of programs on it. If you get one, get a memory card with it.

ppc-6700 > q9c

and they dont even offer the q9c anymore...I had looked at them at one point and heard they had lots of issues

The mogul is too thick for my taste. What's the issue with q9c? Mine runs fine.
8/9/2008 1:20:46 AM
Well they don't even offer it anymore so apparently there were some issues with it. The fact that I cannot get it from Sprint automatically disqualifies it.

Treo 800W. It has the GPS, is good on battery, has a full keyboard, and it can even use Wi-Fi (Sprint doesn't make a big deal of that because they want you to use there $ervice).

treo 800w *seconded*can't lose w/ a treo

Do the PPC-6800. And fuck you for calling the PPC-6700 a piece of shit you ignorant cuntstain. This phone still hangs with the best of them, as long as you run the kitchen that upgrades it to WinMo6.1. WM5 blew fucking chunks on this thing though, so if you haven't upgraded I could understand the haterade. If you have 6 and are still calling it that, you are not worthy of a PPC phone and you deserve a piece of shit Q9c.
