i've used both. I am more of a fan of the AVG. It's just been much easier to use over the last several years.

Eh, I find the newer versions of AVG to be incredibly intrusive and annoying compared to SAV corporate edition. Sure you can change the settings, but they seem to reset after some updates. Ah well, they're both free at least.[Edited on August 1, 2008 at 12:56 AM. Reason : no spelling nazis]

I have Symantec Endpoint Protection now.

^Endpoint created so many problems for me with server 2008. My remote desktop sessions would lock up and I'd have to hard reboot the computer. My network shares never worked though RDP and ping did. It's a bitch to uninstall too so you want to look for that CleanWipe application that they're so reluctant to give out to the public. PM me if you ever need to, it's on google but it took me about 10 minutes of searching to find an active link.that said, I might try the x64 version if I can find solutions to those seemingly popular issues.[Edited on October 19, 2008 at 7:49 PM. AVG's new version turned my machine into a fucking slug. i guess it opens everything I open like three times and does a checksum three times moretook that shit off quick. maybe you'll have better luck

i didnt particularly like it either...and does ccleaner update like every week or something? seems like everytime i run i have to download a newer version

I forgot AVG Free totally doesn't install on server OS's. Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.0.3001.2224 x64-DVT gets another chance.
