Trying to figure out which course i should take with which teacher. Anybody know anything about A SAVELEIV or J LEACH for MAE 308 or M RAMASUBRAMAN for MAE 314? I've already been through the school tool but I just thought I'd ask for more input. Thanks

i had dr. ram for statics and he was great imogives a little theory, but doesn't get caught up in proofs and stuffgives some examples, but doesn't get caught up in the little specifics and stuff[Edited on July 29, 2008 at 7:42 PM. Reason : ramasubramanian is his full name]

Leach is a nice guy and you'll be fine if you can teach yourself from the book. He's a mumbler and seems slightly disoriented at times so it can be hard to keep your attention on what he's doing in class. He does know his stuff though, it's just hard to extract it from him sometimes. I got an A- though so I'm sure there's a curve.

my only experience with leach was 302not the best lecturer but damn if he didnt know what he was talking abouttests were fair and easy if you did the homework and kept up with the information, i got a legitimate A so i cant comment about a curve

i had leach for fluids. he's somewhat ridiculous. old guy, low talker. when i had him he let us use our book for the tests, but the tests were kind of difficult. i ended up with a B and didn't try very hard
