Capital City Grocery is hiring baristas, and possibly cashiersGo to myspace.com/capitalcitygrocery, fill out an application (listed in bulletins) and bring it to the store. I suggest bringing a resume also
7/28/2008 10:06:20 PM
what they gay is a barista?
7/28/2008 10:33:58 PM
Baristas serve and make coffee drinks. Ours serve beer and wine too.<3 espresso

7/28/2008 11:07:00 PM
hmmm i wonder if my techy background suffices for making coffee creations?
7/28/2008 11:45:30 PM
I am in need of a personal chef. Experience is a plus, but not required (as long as you can make a good meal during the interview), part-time, $15/hr, all food expenses paid by myself, cooking utensils/dishware provided. Technical computer skills required.
7/29/2008 12:04:20 AM
good lucktook me a good few months to find a part-time job
7/29/2008 12:36:25 AM
are you serious? i love to cook, but what would you like me to cook? and why are computer skills needed for that?
7/29/2008 12:56:44 AM
You would be the cook. So you get to decide what to cook. Of course at the time of hiring, you will be told the taste preferences of those you would cook for. Computer skills are required because if there is no food to cook, you will be responsible for ordering food from raleigh takeout, and that is online, on a computer. This is cash under the table btw. Tax-free.[Edited on July 29, 2008 at 1:51 AM. Reason : $]
7/29/2008 1:51:00 AM
^I'm confused. Would I be cooking for an office or just you or what?
7/29/2008 1:55:24 AM
Just me. I thought that was made clear with "I am in need of a personal chef."
7/29/2008 1:57:50 AM
but you can't order take-out for yourself?
7/29/2008 2:06:17 AM
The reason I am looking to hire a chef is so I don't have to order out all the time. But if you fuck up your cooking, you will need to get some god damned food quick.

http://www.ncsu.edu/resnet/jobs/it says resnet but you'd probably end up working for the other departments they have listed there if you got the job. Plus it's on campus so you can sit around a lot in your dorm if appropriate.
7/29/2008 3:13:01 AM
I work 15-20hrs/week with children with mental health issues...it's pretty simple, fun, easy to maintain, extremely flexible and my company is always hiring...there aren't enough Recovery Techs like me to go around. http://www.ahrnc.com/pay starts at $13/hr for part time, I was hired immediately with no mental health background, just get you notes in on time and go through the boring 20hrs of training and it's a pretty easy job, will leave you with alot of great memories and you'll really feel well when you see results

Bartender is the only job I would ever even think to consider if I worked at a restaurant.
7/29/2008 11:19:55 AM
LickHer
what do you do? I might need to switch from nuclear engineering to whatever job you have that affords you a personal chef.
7/29/2008 11:28:21 AM
^and doesn't require him to not have to learn nuclear engineering
7/29/2008 11:31:27 AM
haha i have a friend that does delivery at raleigh takeout.....i already have inside connects! but if i did "mess up the food" (which wouldnt probably happen), would i be paying for the mess up out of my own pocket?
7/29/2008 11:54:11 AM

7/29/2008 11:58:31 AM

7/29/2008 4:09:41 PM
7/29/2008 4:26:31 PM
yea i've been able to go fishing all over raleigh since i started, been to Lake Lynn, Harris Lake, Bass Lake, Falls Lakecaught a bunch of bluegill, catfish and 2 largemouth so far
7/29/2008 4:33:23 PM
7/29/2008 4:44:16 PM
yeah even with gas going down, paid mileage is crucial.
7/29/2008 4:49:01 PM
i've worked in the DD field for a year or so prior to this job where I was a Job Coach and I'd travel all over visiting 20-30 clients in a month rather than just 2-3. They did compensate me for mileage on that job as well as writing notes, didn't pay as much though, so perhaps at $13/hr the rate compensates your mileage/note taking, most mental health related jobs I saw paid $9-$10.50/hr
7/29/2008 5:56:41 PM
ive been out of work since June 13th. The job market sucks right now.
7/29/2008 6:03:25 PM
7/29/2008 8:03:05 PM
am i really gonna have to resort to working in food service or somewhere like Target when im overqualified? sweet jeebus.
7/29/2008 9:17:17 PM
DNL, you want to run a temp elevator in a highrise. I could prob get you 10 bucks an hour if you are good.
7/29/2008 9:42:31 PM
^^in today's economy, overqualified is a good thing. just make your $s, don't complain, and then gtfo when you get your financial aid.
7/29/2008 11:17:40 PM
great answer.
7/30/2008 9:18:27 AM
7/30/2008 9:32:11 AM

7/31/2008 9:15:06 AM
I've had to resort to working retail until I find a "real" job. It's pretty weird, but hey, gotta pay the bills somehow.
7/31/2008 9:37:09 AM
Ha, think my little bro is gonna end up being a bouncer to help pay for school. Now this I am going to have to drive to Charlotte to see.
7/31/2008 9:43:27 AM
^^i had to do that at bath and bodyworks/white barn candle company once...that job sucked so bad...i eventually quit because i'd go into class depressed that i had to work that day
7/31/2008 9:53:09 AM
