7/23/2008 11:25:23 AM
there's some good hasher clubs up here in DC, i just never have the time to get involved
7/23/2008 11:27:08 AM
^^ my understanding is that they let one (or more) guys go 20-30 minutes ahead of time, and that person leaves markers (they're the rabbit)...the rest of the group (the hounds) goes afterwards and "hunt" them...the catch is that the rabbit can leave switchbacks and false trails and suchthey also have snack stops where they drink beer or wine or water or whateverso it's like a game of hound and hare, with booze
7/23/2008 11:32:51 AM
yeah they're serious drinkers
7/23/2008 11:33:23 AM
Damn this looks like a lot of fun

8/16/2008 1:31:41 AM
Hash tomorrow at 3:30. I'll be there.THIS HASH IS: R*n #765 of Sir Walter's Hash House Harriers What's the Word: The Slippery Cooter Hash When: Sunday August 24th. Meet at 3:30 pack off at 4:00 Where: Behind the Longbranch Saloon 600 Creekside Dr. Raleigh, NC 27609 Hare(s): Cooter Stew and Slippery Slot D-erections: The best way to do this would be to use google maps or mapquest. I don’t know where you all live. However, I will still do my best to guide you in the right direction. Get to Wake Forest Road somehow. Turn onto Creekside Drive. If you’re coming from one direction you will turn left, if you’re coming from the other you will turn right. You’ll pass the Carolina Ale House. The Longbranch is right next door. Drive around back. There you will find hashers. Dogz: Okay on leash, but they won’t be able to hang at the on-after. Baby Joggers: Will be fine, although the little ones may have to miss out on the best parts of trail. But we'll go back and get them later. And they can hang at the on-after. Hare Notes: A trail with a combination of all those things a good hasher loves: Beer, shiggy, roads & traffic, PI & ticks (I think they’re both still around), construction equipment, forest creatures, odd looks from strangers, and the peaceful sounds of nature disrupted by the yelling of drunken hashers. And beer. There will also be a fair amount of water. And who would want to cum get wet on a slippery cooter hash? On-after right next door at the Carolina Ale House. Questions or just want to hear our voices? Contact Cooter Stew, 919-323-7649 or Slippery Slot, 919-523-6870. Complaints? Put on your big girl panties and deal with it.
8/23/2008 5:03:23 PM
this would be way better without the dumb hippie rhetoric
8/23/2008 5:04:46 PM
^?
8/23/2008 5:05:58 PM
i don't know how else to say itsounds like funbut the rhetoric makes me not want to do it
8/23/2008 5:09:52 PM
that's a dumb reason not to go
8/23/2008 5:11:10 PM
is it?
8/23/2008 5:13:49 PM
Yes. Because hashers don't really talk like that at the hashes
8/23/2008 5:14:54 PM
well i figured thatbut the kind of people who would condone such writingsgoodness
8/23/2008 5:18:26 PM

Meet at 3:00, pack off sometime after thatWhere: End of Belgreen Rd, Durham 27713b]Hare(s):[/b] Photo Spread and ButtParkingDeviceD-erections: Use Mapquest or Google Maps or follow these lousy directions:Get yourself to Fayettevile Rd. in Durham. If you're cumming from I-40, head north on Fayetteville. Look for Belgreen Rd on the right just before MLK Pkwy. Turn right onto Belgreen and look for hashers at the end. If you're cumming from the north, head south on Fayetteville and turn left onto Belgreen Rd - the second turn after you cross MLK Pkwy. Look for hashers at the end of Belgreen.Dogz: Okay, but they have to bring their own hot dogs.Baby Joggers: Do you have an off-road baby jogger? Otherwise, you're going to miss the best parts of trail.Hare Notes: It's Labor Day! We're laboring to make a trail so you wankers can have fun on your day off. There will be shiggy, late summer ticks, water, street crossings, possible PI, beer, and some surprises. Afterwards we'll be grilling hot dogs to celebrate the end of summer. Hash cash is $10 to cover beer & food, or $5 plus a side dish. You don't have to bring anything fancy for your side dish - just something to go with the dogs, buns, and basic condiments we're providing. Yes, there will be a veggie option, too.[Edited on August 31, 2008 at 9:13 PM. Reason : you should go!!!!!!!]
