just wondering if anyone here is any good at polishing aluminum? i need to have some stamped lettering taken off of a wheel surface, and then the rest of the paint removed, and then the entire wheel polished. if no one here wants to make a few bucks, how about anyone local that does this sort of thing? i assume a wheel repair shop could... anywhere else?

What's some good aluminum cleaner and polishing compounds/products?

^Mothers mag and aluminum polish works good.^^^^ I can do it but it costs $texas. Are you looking for a mirror finish? Also I would recomend machining off the lettering instead of grinding. It would probally be cheaper and more durable to have them chromed.Before:15 hrs later[Edited on July 23, 2008 at 12:46 PM. Reason : pics]

well, the main thing is i just want the raised letting that's on them taken off. if it's a lot cheaper to just repaint or chrome after that, it'd be fine. i'll send you a pm...
